Alco Passenger Locomotives
Prior to WWII, Alco entered the passenger locomotive market with their model DL109 (and the B unit DL110). Most roads, other than the New Haven, tried one or two examples. The Milwaukee Road purchased two of the A units, and numbered them 14-A, and 14-B. They were built in October, 1941, numbers 69437 and 69438. In 1953 they were rebuilt with a modified bulldog nose. By 1959 they were out of service and their numbers were taken by Erie built units. They were finally scrapped in October, 1964. The pictures are in date order to show how paint schemes and appearance changed.
