Kansas City Union Station

When Stan Johnson saw the Milwaukee Road depot pictures, he pulled out a selection of pictures given him by John Stone. The pictures were taken, apparently by his father and grandfather, during the construction of the Kansas City Union Station. The station opened in late 1914, and the pictures show the extensive work involved in moving mountains to enable construction.

25 was built by Baldwin in 1911.

35 was built by Baldwin in 1919.

71, SW1200, Class 70, was built by Electro-Motive in June 1964, #29240.  It was sold to Mid America Car Co in August 1985 and then sold to Argee Corp as 35.160.  It was sold to VMV in July 1988 and then to Elgin Joliet & Eastern as 322.

72, SW1200, Class 70, was built by Electro-Motive in June 1964, #29241. It was sold as Gateway Western 72 on 1994 and renumbered 1201 on 1995.

77, SW1200. Class 70, was built by Electro-Motive on July 1964, #29246. It was sold as GW 77 on 1994 and renumbered 1202 on 1995. It was later sold to Louis Dreyfus Co and renumbered 2013.
