Photos Western & Atlantic RR The Great Locomotive Chase 
The Illinois Prairie Railroad Foundation has a collection of "Engineers and Engines" magazines. In June 1960, they reprinted an article on the Great Locomotive Chase with two excellent pictures of the locomotives involved. We won't do another retelling of this fascinating story, but here are the pictures of the locomotives involved.
