GP38, GP38-2 Diesels
5702, GP38-2, Class GR-420g, was built in February 1972, #7344-41, as Missouri
Pacific 899 and was renumbered 2050 in September 1974. It was
assigned Union
Pacific 2376 in January 1984 and returned on July 3, 1987, to GTW as
5702, Class GR-420g, on September 30, 1987. It was renumbered 4902 in 1997.
5704, GP38-2, Class GR-420g, was built in February 1972, #7344-45, as MP
902 and was renumbered 2053 in September 1974. It was assigned UP 2379 in
January 1984 but returned on July 3, 1987, to GTW as 5704, Class GR-420g, on
November 6, 1987. It was renumbered 4904 in 1997.
5708, GP38-2, Class GR-420g, was built in January 1972, #7344-66, as MP
866. It was renumbered 2017 in September 1974. It was assigned UP 2343 in
January 1984 but returned on July 3, 1987, to Grand Trunk Western as 5708, Class
GR-420g, on December 30, 1987. It was renumbered 4908 in 1997.
5716, GP38-2, Class GR-420g, was built in October 1972, #72659-5, as MP
917. It was renumbered 2068 in September 1974 and it was assigned 2394 in
January 1984 but returned on January 28, 1988, to GTW as 5716, Class GR-420g, on
August 19, 1988. It was renumbered 4916 in 1997.
5720, GP38-2, Class GR-420g, was built in October 1972, #72659-1, as MP 913. It was renumbered 2064 in September 1974. It was UP assigned 2390 in January 1984 but returned on January 26, 1988, to GTW as 5720, Class GR-420g, on October 21, 1988. It was renumbered 4920 in 1997.
5725, GP38-2, Class GR-420g, was built in January 1972, #7344-27, as MP 858. It was
renumbered 2035 in September 1974 and it was assigned 2361 in January 1984 and
returned on July 3, 1987, to GTW as 5725, Class GR-420g, on February 16, 1990.
It was renumbered 4925 in 1997.
5800, GP38, Class GR-420a, was built in December 1971, #37929. It later
became Central
Vermont 5800, Class GR-20a.
5802, GP38, Class GR-420a, was built in December 1971, #37931.
5803, GP38, Class GR-420a, was built in December 1971, #37932. It was wrecked and retired in 1990.

was rebuilt at Transcona in 1999 as LLP 2207.

rebuilt at Transona in 1999 as LLP 2208.

and 1979 it was bicentennial 1776. It later became CV 5808, Class GR-20a. It
later became LLP 2210.

was sold to GTW as 5851 in April 1980.
5852, GP38-2, Class GR-420k, was built in November 1978, #786157-3, as CRI&P 4370. It
was sold to GTW as 5852 in April 1980.
5853, GP38-2, Class GR-420k, was built in November 1978, #786157-4, as CRI&P 4371. It
was sold to GTW as 5853 in April 1980.

Toledo & Ironton 204 and became GTW 6204, Class GR-420d, in 1984.
It was retired on March 5, 1999,
and was later rebuilt by Transcona as Locomotive
Leasing Partners 2227.
6205, GP38, Class GR-420d, was built in September 1969, #35291, as DT&I 205 and
became GTW 6205 in 1984.
6208, GP38AC, Class GR-420d, was built in May 1970, #36339, as DT&I
216. It was renumbered 208 in May
1970 and became GTW 6208, Class DF-420e, in 1984.
6214, GP38AC, Class GR-420e, was built in April 1970, #36337, as DT&I 214. It later became GTW 6214, Class DF-430E, in 1984, and then sold to LLP as 2215 in 1999.
6216, GP38, Class GR-420f, was built in July 1971, #36867, as DT&I 216 and became GTW
6216 in 1984.
