Stations and Towers

Alexandria, LA, was a Union Station served by Missouri Pacific and Louisiana & Arkansas.  It was destroyed in 1979 but two of the buttresses were saved for the new transportation center.

At Big Sandy, west of Longview, the main line crossed the Cotton Belt line out of Tyler.

At Fort Worth is Tower 55.  It is no longer in action as a tower.

Fort Worth has a large office building which is being restored.  The station area is now the terminal for Trinity Rail Express.

Fort Worth freight house and warehouse is in danger for destruction while there is an effort to restore it.  It was designed by Wyatt C. Hendricks and Herman P Koeppe and built in 1931.

Baird has a nice museum.

Sweetwater freight house after the passenger station was destroyed.

Pecos was a connection to Pecos Valley Southern.
