Roanoke Railway & Electric Co.
One little known trolley line was the system in Roanoke, VA. It was abandoned about 1948, but the cars always seemed to look sharp right up to the end. Here is a selection of photos of these cars.
The first group were turtle roof cars with maximum traction trucks.
The next group of cars were similar except that they have arch roofs.
The newest cars were Master Units built by Brill in 1929. Cars 48 thru 57 were formerly Lynchburg Traction & Light Co. 110 thru 119 acquired in 1939.
