Electro-Motive SD45 Diesels

 

6400, Class SD-45, was built in July 1966, #31951, FN 7890-1, as Northern Pacific 3600.  It became BN 6400, Class SD-45, in 1970 and was sold as National Helm Leasing Corp 6400.  It was leased as Utah Ry 6400 in July 1989 and returned as NHL 6400.  It was then rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as MKCX 9413.

6406, Class SD-45, was built in April 1967, #33027, FN 7987-3, as NP 3606.  It became BN 6406, Class SD-45, in 1970 and retired in February 1985.

6410, Class SD-45, was built in April 1967, #33031, FN 7978-7, as NP 3610.  It became BN 6410, Class SD-45, in 1970 and retired in June 1984.  It was sold to Precision National Corp in July 1984.

6415, Class SD-45, was built in May 1967, #33036, FN 7978-12, as NP 3615.  It became BN 6415, Class SD-45, in 1970 and retired in August 1984.

6417, Class SD-45. was built in May 1967, #33038, FN 7978-14 as NP 3617. It became BN 6417, Class SD-45, in 1970 and was sold to Gulf & Mississippi as 6417 in December 1986. It was sold to Wisconsin Central Ltd as 6417 in December 1987. It was later renumbered 6495 and still later rebuilt as 7495.

6422, Class SD-45, was built in April 1968, #33902, FN 7094-3, as NP 3622.  It became BN 6422, Class SD-45, in 1970 and retired in June 1983.

6430, Class SD-45, was built in May 1966, #31598, FN 7871-1, as Great Northern 400, Class SD-45.  It became BN 6430, Class SD-45, in 1970 and retired in November 1985.  Since it was named "Hustle Muscle" and it was the first 3600 HP locomotive, it was given to the GNRHS and restored.

6438, Class SD-45, was built in May 1966, #31603, FN 7871-6, as GN 405, Class SD-45.  It became BN 6438, Class SD-45, in 1970 and retired in November 1986.  It was sold for scrap to Pielet Brothers in March 1987.

6442, Class SD-45, was built in April 1967, #32992, FN 7963-5, as GN 412, Class SD-45.  It became BN 6442, Class SD-45, in 1970 and retired in June 1986.  It was sold for scrap to Pielet Brothers in March 1987.

6443, Class SD-45, was built in April 1967, #32993, FN 7963-6, as GN 413, Class SD-45.  It became BN 6443, Class SD-45, in 1970 and retired in February 1985.  It was sold for scrap to Azcon Corp in March 1985.

6445, Class SD-45, was built in April 1967, #32995, FN 7963-8, as GN 415, Class SD-45.  It became BN 6445, Class SD-45, in 1970 and retired in December 1986.  It was sold to Pielet Brothers and sold as National Helm Leasing Corp 6445.  It was resold as Montana Rail Link 6445 in July 1989 and renumbered 351

6448, Class SD-45, was built in July 1968, #33785, FN 7088-1, as GN 418, Class SD-45.  It became BN 6448, Class SD-45, in 1970 and retired in August 1983.  It became BN 6448, Class SD-45, in 1970 and retired in August 1983.  It was sold as Chicago & North Western 6587 in January 1984 and retired on May 14, 1996.

6451, Class SD-45, was built in July 1968, #33788, FN 7088-4, as GN 421, Class SD-45.  It became BN 6451, Class SD-45, in 1970 and retired in October 1983.  It was sold to C&NW and became 6570 on January 30, 1984.  It was retired November 19, 1987, and sold to VMV in October 1989.  It was resold to Morrison-Knudsen and rebuilt as MPI 9025 in 1990.  It was transferred as MK 9025 and back as Motive Power International 9025 and as Helm Leasing 9025 in May 1996.

6455, Class SD-45, was built in July 1968, #33792, FN 7088-8, as GN 425, Class SD-45.  It became BN 6455, Class SD-45, in 1970 and retired in October 1983.  It was sold to C&NW and became 6574 on February 5, 1984.  It was retired November 19, 1987, and sold to VMV in October 1989.  It was rebuilt by MK Rail on January 11, 1995, as Southern Pacific 8618, a SD40M-2.  It was assigned Union Pacific 4644 and became UP 2694 on November 25, 2003.

6457, Class SD-45, was built in January 1969, #34551, FN 7147-1, as Chicago Burlington & Quincy 516. It became BN 6457, Class SD-45, in 1970, and was returned to the leasor in February 1984. It was sold to C&NW and became 6576 on August 12, 1984. In June 1994 it was sold to National Ry Equipment as 6576 and later rebuilt as SP 8612, SD40M-2, on September 8, 1994.  It then was assigned UP 4658 and became UP 2688 on January 21, 2004.

6460, Class SD-45, was built in January 1969, #34554, FN 7147-4, as CB&Q 519. It became BN 6460, Class SD-45, in 1970 and was returned to the leasor in February 1984. It was sold to C&NW and became 6579 on February 28, 1984. It was retired on November 19, 1987, and sold to VMV in October 1989. It was then sold to Morrison-Knudsen as 9508 and then to Helm Leasing as 7001. It was again sold to Wisconsin Central Ltd as 6633. It was finally sold to Larry's Truck Equipment Co and scrapped.

6461, Class SD-45,was built in January 1969, #34555, FN 7147-5, as CB&Q 520.  It became BN 6461, Class SD-45, in 1970 and retired in February 1984.  It was sold to C&NW in July 1984 and became 6580 on September 27, 1984.  It was retired on November 19, 1987 and sold to VMV in October 1989.  It was sold to MK and rebuilt as Motive Power International 9026.  It was transferred as MK 9026 and back as MPI 9026.  It was sold as Helm 9026 in May 1966.

6463, Class SD-45, was built in January 1969, #34558, FN 7147-8, as CB&Q 522. In 1970 it became BN 6463, Class SD-45, and was returned to the leasor in February 1984. It was sold to C&NW and became 6582 on September 17, 1984. It was sold to NRE in June 1994 as 6582 and then was rebuilt by MK on October 12, 1994, as SP 8668, as SP40M-2.  It was assigned UP 4694, Class SD40M-2, and became UP 2744 on June 12, 2003.  It was retired on October 12, 2010, and sold as National Railway Equipment Co  as NREX 2744 in April 2014.

6466, Class SD-45, was built in January 1969, #34560, FN 7147-10, as CB&Q 525l  It became BN 6466, Class SD-45, in 1970 and was returned to the leasor in February 1984.  It was sold as C&NW 6585 on September 20, 1984.  It was sold as NREX 6585 in June 1994 and rebuilt by MK on October 14, 1994, as SP 8669, as SD40M-2.  It then was assigned as UP 4695 and became UP 2745 on October 5, 2001.  

6476, Class SD-45, was built in June 1970, #36365, FN 7261-5, as planned as Northern Pacific 3634.  It was built as BN 6476, Class SD-45, and retired in June 1985.  It was leased as C&NW 6476 in December 1985 and retired on November 19, 1987.  It was sold to VMV in October 1989 and rebuilt as Kansas City Southern 617 to SD40-3 standards in August 1995.  It was renumbered 3150 and sold as Allegheny Valley RR 3001 in June 2008.

6477, Class SD-45, was built in July 1970, #36366, FN 7261-6, as planned as NP 3635.  It was built as BN 6477, Class SD-45, and was returned to the leasor in June 1985.  It was sold to Chicago & North Western and became 6477 in December 1985 and retired on November 19, 1987.  It was sold to VMV in October 1989 and sold to Morrison-Knudsen as 9501.  It as sold to WCLtd as 6632 and sold to Larry's and scrapped.

6482, Class SD-45, was built in July 1970, #36371, FN 7261-11 as planned as NP 3640. It was built as BN 6482, Class SD-45 , and was retired in June 1985.  It was leased to C&NW 6482 in September 1986. It was later retired and sold to Helm as 6505.

6483, Class SD-45, was built in August 1970, #36372, FN 7261-12.  It was retired in June 1985 and sold to Scrap Service.

6489, Class SD-45, was built in August 1970, #36378, FN 7261-18. It was sold to New York Susquehanna & Western as 6366 in January 1986 and planned as 3616 but not renumbered.  It was sold later to Naporano Iron & Metal Co in September 1993. It was sold to Montana Rail-Link as 362.

6491, Class SD-45, was built in August 1970, #36380, FN 7261-20.  It was retired in June 1985 and sold as C&NW 6491 in October 1985.  It was retired on November 19, 1987, and sold to VMV in October 1989.  It was rebuilt by MK Rail on November 11, 1994, as SP 8622, a SD40M-2.  It was assigned 4648 and became UP 2698, Class SD40M-2, on December 17, 2003.

6494, Class SD-45, was built in August 1970, #36796, FN 7279-3. It was sold to Pielet Bros in March 1987 and later in 1987 resold to WCLtd as 6494.

6496, Class SD-45, was built in August 1970, #36798, FN 7279-5.  It was sold to Azcon Corp in December 1986 and resold as National Helm Leasing 6496 in March 1987.  It was sold at Morrison Knudsen as MKCX 9529 and rebuilt at Hornel as SP 8620, SD40M-2, on January 24, 1996.  It became UP 2696. Class SD40M-2, on April 15, 2004.  It was retired on October 12, 2010, and sold as National Railway Equipment Co  as NREX 2696 in April 2014.

6498, Class SD-45, was built in May 1971, #37106, FN 5773-1. It was sold to WCLtd as 6498 in December 1987. It was later renumbered 6500 and later rebuilt as 7500.

6499, Class SD-45, was built in May 1971, #37107, FN 5773-2. It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co in April 1987 and later to WCLtd as 6499. It was later renumbered 6503 in 1993.  It was retired and scrapped/

6501, Class SD-45, was built in May 1971, #37109, FN 5773-4. It was returned to the leasor in August 1986 and sold to WCLtd as 6501 in December 1987.

6502, Class SD-45, was built in May 1971, #37110, FN 5773-5. It was returned to the leasor in August 1986 and sold to WCLtd as 6502 in December 1987.

6504, Class SD-45, was built in June 1971, #37112, FN 5773-7.  It was returned to the leasor in August 1986 and sold to National Ry Equipment Co in September 1987.  They resold it to WCLtd as 6504 in December 1987. It was rebuilt as 7504 in 1995.

6505, Class SD-45, was built in June 1971, #37113, FN 5773-8. It was retired on February 28, 1986, and returned to the leasor on December 30, 1986,  It was sold to National Ry Equipment Co in September 1987 amd resold it to WCLtd as 6505 in December 1987. It was later rebuilt as 7505 and retired on May 2, 2006.  It was sold to Houston Locomotive Group in 2006 and sold as Dakota Missouri Valley & Western 7505 in October 2006.

6507, Class SD-45, was built in June 1971, #37115, FN 5773-10. It was returned to the leasor in August 1986 and sold to National Ry Equipment Co in September 1987. They resold it to WCLtd as 6507 in December 1987. It was later rebuilt as 7507.

6510, Class SD-45, was built in June 1971, #37118, FN 5773-13. It was returned to the leasor in August 1986 and sold to WCLtd as 6510 in December 1987. It was later renumbered 6509 and then rebuilt as 7509.

6511, Class SD-45, was built in June 1971, #37119, FN 5773-14. It was returned to the leasor in August 1986 and sold to National Ry Equipment Co in April 1987. They resold it to WCLtd as 6511 in December 1987. It was later renumbered 6510 and then rebuilt as 7510.

6513, Class SD-45, was built in June 1971, #37121, FN 5773-16. It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co in August 1986 and later to New York Susquehanna & Western as 6513 in January 1987. It was later sold to Montana Rail Link as 360 and later transferred to I&M Rail Link as 360.

6515, Class SD-45, was built in July 1971, #37123, FN 5773-18. It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co in August 1986 and later to NYS&W as 6515 in January 1987.  It was assigned as 3628 but never renumbered.  It was later sold to Naporano Iron & Metal Co in September 1993 and then to MRL as 366.

6516, Class SD-45, was built in July 1971, #37124, FN 5773-19.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co in August 1986.  It was sold as National Helm Leasing Co 6510 and later rebuilt as Morrison Knudsen Co 9530.

6517, Class SD-45, was built in July 1971, #37125, FN 5773-20. It was returned to the leasor in August 1986 and sold to National Ry Equipment Co in April 1987. They resold it to WCLtd as 6517 in December 1987. It was later renumbered 6511 and then rebuilt as 7511.

6518, Class SD-45, was built in July 1971, #37126, FN 5773-21.  It was returned to the leasor in August 1986 and sold to National Ry Equipment Co.  It was then sold for scrap at Pielet Bros Co.

6520, Class SD-45, was built in July 1971, #37128, FN 5773-23.  It was retired in February 1986 and sold to National Ry Equipment Co inn January 1988.  It sold to Morrison Knudsen as MKCX 9531 and rebuilt on January 19, 1995 as SP 8619, a SD40M-2.  It was assigned UP 4645 and became UP 2695 on August 24, 2001.

6521, Class SD-45, was built in July 1971, #37129, FN 5773-24.  It was returned to the leasor in August 1986 and sold to National Ry Equipment Co in April 1987.  It was sold  to New York Susquehanna & Western as 3630 in October 1987 and resold as Montana Rail Link 363.  It was transferred as I&M Rail Link 363 in 1997.  It was then sold as Iowa Chicago & Eastern 363 in 2002.

6522, Class SD-45, was built in July 1971, #37130, FN 5773-25. It was returned to the leasor in August 1986 and sold to National Ry Equipment Co in April 1987.  It was sold to WCLtd as 6522 in December 1987.

6524, Class SD-45, was built in July 1971, #37132, FN 5773-27. It was returned to the leasor in August 1986 and sold to National Ry Equipment Co in Apri 1987. It was sold to WCLtd as 6524 in December 1987.

6526, Class SD-45, was built in July 1971, #37134, FN 5773-29. It was returned to the leasor in August 1986 and sold to National Ry Equipment Co in April 1987. It was sold to WCLtd as 6526 in December 1987,

6531, Class SD-45, was built in July 1971, #37139, FN 5773-34. It was returned to the leasor in August 1986 and sold to National Ry Equipment Co in April 1987. It was sold to WCLtd as 6531 in December 1987.

6532, Class SD-45, was built in August 1971, #37140, FN 5773-35. It was returned to the leasor in August 1986 and sold to National Ry Equipment Co in April 1987. It was sold to WCLtd as 6532 in December 1987.

6533, Class SD-45, was built in August 1971, #37141, FN 5773-36. It was returned to the leasor in August 1986 and sold to National Ry Equipment Co in Apri 1987, It was sold to WCLtd as 6533 in December 1987 and renumbered 6520.  It was rebuilt as 7520.  It was scrapped.

6534, Class SD-45, was built in August 1971, #37142, FN 5773-37, as BN 6534, Class SD-45.  It was returned to the leasor in August 1986 and sold as NHL 6534 in April 1987.  It was sold to WCLtd as 6534 in December 1987.  It was renumbered 6521.  It was retired and scrapped.

6535, Class SD-45, was built in August 1971, #37143, FN 5773-38. It was returned to the leasor in August 1986 and sold to National Ry Equipment Co in April 1987. It was sold to WCLtd as 6535 in December 1987. It was renumbered 6522 and rebuilt as 7522.  It was scrapped.

6536, Class SD-45, was built in August 1971, #37144, FN 5773-39.  It was returned to the leasor in August 1986 and sold as National Ry Equipment Corp 6536 in April 1987.  It was sold to Morrison Knudsen Corp as 9414 and sold as Helm Leasing Corp 5054.  It was rebuilt as 6507, a SD40M-3.

6538, Class SD-45, was built in August 1971, #37145, FN 5773-41.  It was returned to the leasor in August 1986 and sold to National Ry Equipment Co in April 1987.  It was sold to WCLtd as 6538 in December 1987.  It was renumbered 6524 and later rebuilt as 7524.

6540, Class SD-45, was built in August 1971, #37148, FN 5773-43.  It was retired in January 1986.

6543, Class SD-45, was built in November 1971, #5794-1.  It was retired in July 1986 and sold to Pielet Bros in March 1987.  They sold it as WCLtd as 6543 in December 1987 and later renumbered 6527.

6548, Class SD-45, was built in November 1971, #5749-6, FN 5494-6.  It was sold to Pielet Brothers in March 1987 and sold to WCLtd as 6548 in December 1987.  It was later rebuilt as 7528.

6552, Class SD-45, was built in November 1971, #5794-10, FN 5794-10.  It was sold as Soo Line 6492 in December 1986 and sold as National Railway Equipment Co 6492 June 1992.  It was rebuilt by MK Rail on June 6, 1994, as Southern Pacific 8587 and became Union Pacific  2663 on January 29, 2003.

6553, Class SD-45, was built in November 1971, #5794-11, FN 5794-11.  It was sold to Pielet Brothers in March 1987 and resold as National Ry Equipment in April 1987.  It was sold to WCLtd as 6553 in December 1987 and renumbered 6529.  It was retired.

6554, Class SD-45, was built in November 1971, #5794-12, FN 5794-12.  It was sold as Gulf & Mississippi 6554 in December 1986 and sold as WCLtd 6554 in December 1987.  It was renumbered 6530 and rebuilt as 7530.

6557, Class SD-45, was built in December 1971, #5794-15, FN 5794-15.  It was retired in December 1986 and sold to National Helm Leasing Corp 6557 in March 1987.  It was sold to Montana Rail Link as 6557 in October 1989 and later rebuilt as 354.  It was transfered as I & M Rail Link 354 in April 1997 and returned as MRL 354 in July 2002.

6559, Class SD-45, was built in December 1971, #5794-17, FN 5794-17.  It was sold as GMSR 6559 in December 1986 and sold to National Ry Equipment Co in April 1987.  It was sold to WCLtd as 6559 in December 1987.

6560, Class SD-45, was built in December 1971, #5794-18, FN 5794-18.  It was sold to Pielet Brothers in March 1987 and sold to National Ry Equipment Co in April 1987.  It was sold to WCLtd as 6560 in December 1987 and renumbered 6532.  It was rebuilt as 7532 and sold to National Ry Equipment Co as NREX 6420 in 2007.

6567, Class SD-45, was built in December 1971, #5794-25, FN 5794-25.  It was the last SD45 built and was retired in December 1986.  It was sold and became Morrison Knudson Corp 9415 and later rebuilt by MK as Southern Pacific 8690, a SD40-3M, on February 19, 1995.  It was assigned Union Pacific 4716 and reassigned 2766.

6570, Class SD-45, was built in October 1971, #39366, FN 5788-1, as Colorado & Southern 868.  It was renumbered 6570, Class SD-45, in August 1979 and became BN 6570, Class SD-45, in January 1981.  It was retired in December 1986 and sold as National Helm Leasing Co 6570 in March 1987.  It was then sold as Morrison Knudsen 9527 and later Helm Leasing Corp 6521.

6572, Class SD-45, was built in October 1971, #38368, FN 5788-3, as C&S 870.  It was renumbered 6572, Class SD-45, in August 1979 and became BN 6572, Class SD-45, in January 1982.  It was sold as Gulf & Mississippi 6572 in December 1986 and sold to National Ry Equipment Co.  It was sold as Wisconsin Central Ltd 6572 in December 1987 and renumbered 6561.  It was renumbered 6533 and sold to Larry's Truck Equipment Co.

6650, Class SD-45, was built in February 1967, #33011, FN 7967-1, as St Louis-San Francisco 900.  It became BN 6650, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and was retired on January 20, 1986.  It was sold to St Louis Auto Shredding for scrap in July 1986.

6651, Class SD-45, was built in February 1967, #33012, FN 7967-2, as SL-SF 901.  It became BN 6651, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and was retired on December 15, 1984.  It was traded in to Electro-Motive in July 1985.

6652, Class SD-45, was built in February 1967, #33013, FN 7967-3, as SL-SF 902.  It became BN 6652, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and was retired on December 15, 1984.  It was sold to St Louis Auto Shredding for scrap in February 1986.

6653, Class SD-45, was built in February 1967, #33014, FN 7967-4, as SL-SF 903,  It became BN 6653, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and was retired on January 20, 1985.  It was sold to Chrome Locomotive Co on November 25, 1986.

6654, Class SD-45, was built in February 1967, #33015, FN 7967-5, as SL-SF 904. It became BN 6654, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and was retired in August 1986. It was sold to Pielet Bros for scrap in December 1986.

6657, Class SD-45, was built in February 1967, #33018, as SL-SF 907.  It became BN 6657, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and was retired on August 28, 1982.  It was sold as Colorado & Eastern 6657 on October 2, 1982, and sold for scrap to Pielet Bros in July 1988.

6658, Class SD-45, was built in February 1967, #33019, as SL-SF 908.  It became BN 6658, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and was retired on August 23, 1984.  It was traded in to Electro-Motive in July 1985.

6659, Class SD-45, was built in February 1967, #33021, as SL-SF 910.  It became BN 6659, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and was retired on September 30, 1986.  It was sold to Soo Line RR as 6492 in March 1987 and retired in June 1992.  It was sold to Chrome Locomotive in March 1993 and sold to Morrison Knudsen.  It was rebuilt as SP 8586 on May 27, 1994.  It was assigned as UP 2662, but never repainted. 

6660, Class SD-45, was built in February 1967, #33022, as SL-SF 911.  It became BN 6660, Class SD-45, in December 1980 amd was sold as G&M 6660 in December 1986.  It was retired in April 1987 and sold to National Railway Equipment Co.  It was sold as WCLtd 6660 in December 1987 and was renumbered 6497. 

6661, Class SD-45, was built in May 1967, #33182, as SL-SF 912.  It was rebuilt by Electro-Motive in March 1971 and later became BN 6661, Class SD-45, in December 1980.  It was retired on September 3, 1986, and sold to Pielet Bros for scrap on December 10, 1986.

6662, Class SD-45, was built in May 1967, #33183, as SL-SF 913.  It became BN 6662, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and retired on November 12, 1986.  It was sold to Chicago Railway Equipment Co on March 25, 1987, and scrapped at Pielet Bros.

6663, Class SD-45, was built in February 1968, #33599, as SL-SF 914. It became BN 6663, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and was retired on November 18, 1986. It was sold to Pielet Bros for scrap on March 25, 1987.

6669, Class SD-45, was built in February 1968, #33605, as SL-SF 920.  It became BN 6669, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and was retired on January 20, 1986.  It was sold to St Louis Auto Shredding for scrap on July 16, 1986.

6670, Class SD-45, was built in February 1968, #33606, as SL-SF 921.  It became BN 6670, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and was retired on November 20, 1984.  It was sold to Simon & Sons for scrap in March 1985.

6671, Class SD-45, was built in February 1968, #33607, as SL-SF 922.  It became BN 6671, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and was retired on October 3, 1986.  It was sold to Wilson Railway on May 1, 1987, and scrapped.

6672, Class SD-45, was built in February 1968, #33608, as SL-SF 923.  It became BN 6672, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and was retired on September 11, 1984.  It was traded in to Electro-Motive in July 1985.

6673, Class SD-45, was built in February 1968, #33609, as SL-SF 924.  It became BN 6673, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and was retired on September 12, 1986.  It was sold to Pielet Bros Co in October 1986 and resold to National Ry Equipment Co in December 1986.

6674, Class SD-45, was built in February 1968, #33610, as SL-SF 925.  It became BN 6674, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and res retired on January 19, 1985.  It was sold to Pielet Bros Co on December 21, 1986, for scrap.

6675, Class SD-45, was built in October 1968, #34246, as SL-SF 927. It became BN 6675, Class SD-45, in December 1980, and was retired on December 1986. It was sold to Mid-America Car in March 1987 and then to Precision National Corp in May 1987.

6676, Class SD-45, was built in October 1968, #34247, as SL-SF 928.  It became BN 6676, Class SD-45, in December 1980, and was retired on June 13, 1986.  It was sold to Chrome Locomotive Co on November 26, 1986.

6677, Class SD-45, was built in September 1969, #35477, FN 7194-1, as SL-SF 929.  It became BN 6677, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and retired on November 14, 1986.  It  was sold to Azcon Corp on March 15, 1987, and then to National Ry Equipment Co in April 1987.  It was then sold to WCLtd as 6677 in December 1987 and later renumbered 6498.

6678, Class SD-45, was built in September 1969, #35478, FN 7194-2, as SL-SF 930.  It became BN  6678, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and sold to Soo Line RR as 6491 in March 1987.  It was retired in June 1992,  It was sold to Morrison-Knudsen Corp as 9528 in March 1993 and sold to WCLtd as 9528 in 1997.  It was renumbered 6638 and then rebuilt as 7638.

6679, Class SD-45, was built in September 1969, #35479, FN 7194-3, as SL-SF 931.  It became BN 6679, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and was retired on December 13, 1984.  It was sold for scrap to General Metal Co in July 1986.

6680, Class SD-45, was built in September 1969, #35480, FN 7194-4, as SL-SF 932.  It became BN 6680, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and was retired on December 13, 1986.  It was sold to Precision National on April 30. 1987, and taken over by National Railway Equipment.  It was rebuilt as Union Pacific 4733, SD40-3, on December 15, 1998, and renumbered 2783 on December 11, 2001.  It was retired on April 15, 2002.  It was returned to CIT Group as CEFX 2783 and relettered as CITX 2783 in 2010.  It was sold to Residual Based Finance Corp as OFOX 2783 in 2014 and sold to WATCo as WAMX 4202 in 2014.

6681, Class SD-45, was built in September 1969, #35481, FN 7194-5, as SL-SF 933.  It became BN 6681, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and was retired on December 21, 1986.  It was sold to Azcon Corp on February 16, 1987, and then resold at National Helm Leasing Corp 6681 in March 1987.  It was sold as Montana Rail Link 6681 on October 31, 1989, and renumbered 356.   It was scrapped in May 2014.

6682, Class SD-45, was built in September 1969, #35482, FN 7194-6, as SL-SF 934.  It became BN 6682, Class SD-45, in December 1980, and was retired on August 20, 1986.  It was sold to Chicago Ry Equipment Co on December 19, 1986, and scrapped at Pielet Bros.

6683, Class SD-45, was built in September 1969, #35483, FN 7194-7, as SL-SF 935. It became BN 6683, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and was retired on December 9, 1986. It was sold to VMV Enterprises in February 1987 and became Paducah & Louisville 6683 in March 1987. It was rebuilt at Paducah in 1995 as Kansas City Southern as 619.

6684, Class SD-45, was built in September 1969, #35484, FN 7194-8, as SL-SF 936.  It became BN 6684, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and was retired on July 1, 1986.  It was sold to Pielet Bros Co on January 20, 1987.

6685, Class SD-45, was built in October 1969, #35485, FN 7194-9, as SL-SF 937.  It became BN 6685, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and was retired on January 20, 1986,  It was sold for scrap to St Louis Auto Shredding on July 16, 1986.

6686, Class SD-45, was built in October 1969, #35486, as SL-SF 938.  It became BN 6686, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and retired on December 9, 1986.  It was sold to Azcon Corp on February 21, 1987, and then to National Helm Leasing Corp 6686 in March 1987.  It was sold as Montana Rail Link 6686 on October 31, 1989, and renumbered 908.  It was rebuilt as 357 and later transferred as I&M Rail Link 357 in April 1997.  It was returned as MRL 357 in July 2002.

6687, Class SD-45, was built in October 1969, #35487, as SL-SF 939.  It became BN 6687, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and retired on January 12, 1985,  It was sold to Pielet Bros in October 1986 and resold to National Ry Equipment Co in December 1986.

6689, Class SD-45, was built in October 1969, #35489, FN 7194-13, as SL-SF 941.  It became BN 6689, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and retired on December 12, 1986.  It was sold to Azcon Corp on March 27, 1987, and resold as National Helm Leasing Corp 6689 in March 1987.  It was later rebuilt as Morrion Knudsen Corp 9532 in 1993

6690, Class SD-45, was built in October 1969, #35490, FN 7194-14, as SL-SF 942.  It became BN 6690, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and retired on December 9, 1986.  It was sold to Azcon Corp on March 15, 1987, and resold as National Ry Equipment Co in March 1987.  It was resold as WCLtd 6690 on March 19, 1988, and renumbered 6499.  It was later rebuilt as 7499.

6691, Class SD-45, was built in December 1969, #35583, FN 7205-1, as SL-SF 943.  It became BN 6691, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and retired on September 23, 1986.  It was sold to Chicago Ry Equipment Co on March 2, 1987, and transferred to Pielet Bros for scrap in March 1987.

6692, Class SD-45, was built in December 1969, #35584. FN 7205-2, as SL-SF 944.  It became BN 6692, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and retired on December 15, 1986.  It was sold to Azcon on February 21, 1987, and resold as National Helm Leasing Corp 6692 in March 1987.

6693, Class SD-45, was built in December 1969, #35585, as SL-SF 945.  It became BN 6693, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and retired on January 20, 1986.  It was scrapped on November 15, 1986.

6694, Class SD-45, was built in December 1969, #35586, as SL-SF 946.  It became BN 6694, Class SD-45, in December 1980 and retired on December 13, 1986.  It was sold to Azcon on March 9, 1987, and resold as National Helm Leasing Corp 6694 in March 1987.  It was sold as Montana Rail Link 6694 on October 31, 1989, and renumbered 908.  It was rebuilt as 358 and transferred as I&M Rail Link 358 in April 1997.  It was returned as MRL 358 in July 2002.
