The last cars purchased by CRT were four articulated trains built to PCC standards. 5001 and 5002 were built by Pullman-Standard in 1947. 5003 and 5004 followed in 1948 from St. Louis Car. They were rebuilt in 1965 and renumbered 51 thru 54. 51 was acquired by the South Elgin museum where it has been restored as 5001.
