Korean National RR

TEHO-3 4-6-0

This group of locomotives was built in two batches according to the information supplied by Peter Clark. The first, 1 thru 9, built built by Alco-Brooks in 1911 as 222 thru 230. They were renumbered 651 thru 659, and then became 1 thru 9 after the 1938 general renumbering by classes. The last of these was built by Keijo in 1938 as the 10. James Heffner's list indicates there were 178 ten-wheelers in all classes. 106 went to South Korea and 72 to North Korea in the 1947 partition.

The 1 spot really shows its Brooks lines even after 42 years.

Number 8 was working at a branchline terminal.
