Hill of Howth Tramways

 

The Hill of Howth Tramway, in the Republic of Ireland to the east of Dublin, was owned and managed by The Great Northern Railway. The 5 3" gauge tramway opened on June 17, 1901, and closed on May 31, 1959.

1 was built by Brush Traction on Brill 22E Maximum Traction trucks in 1901. 

2 was built by Brush Traction in 1901.  It was shipped to the Orange Empire Railway Museum.

3 was built by Brush Traction in 1901.  It was stored in 1959 and scrapped in 1965.

4 was built by Brush Traction in 1901.  It is preserved at the Belfast Transport Museum.

5 was built by Brush Traction in 1901. 

6 was built by Brush Traction in 1901.  The truck was used for rebuilding Manchester Corporation 765 at Heaton Park Tramway.

7 was built by Brush Traction in 1901.

8 was built by Brush Traction in 1901.

9 was built by G F Milnes on Peckham 14D-5 bogies in 1902.  It was stored at Dublin and sent to Transport Museum Society of Ireland.

10 was built by G F Milnes in 1902.  It is at Crich Tramway Village.

11 was built by GNRy in 1905.  It was stored in 1959 and scrapped in 1965.
