This group of locomotives was built by Alco-Brooks in 1905. They were numbers 271 thru 279 until the 1938 renumbering when they became 1 thru 9. This information is from Peter Clark. James Heffner's list shows a total of 279 2-6-2Ts of all classes. 169 went to South Korea and 110 to North Korea at the division in 1947.
