690 was built in May 1969, #34883, as Illinois Terminal RR 2301. It became Norfolk & Western 2961 in November 1981 and was retired in August 1984. It was sold to B&M as 690 in August 1985.
692 was built in May 1969. #34885, as ITRR 2303. It became N&W 2963 in November 1981 and was retired in August 1984. It was sold to B&M as 692 in August 1985.
693 was built in May 1969, #34888, as ITRR 2306. It became N&W 2966 in November 1981 and was retired in August 1984, It was sold to B&M as 693 in August 1985 and was transferred to Maine Central 693.
