Electro-Motive GP40 Diesels

6502, Class GP-40, was built in November 1966, #32646, FN 7943-3, as Baltimore & Ohio 3686, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered from October 13, 1979, until mid January 1980, as temporary 9686.  It was renumbered 6502 and became CSX 6502, Class GP-40.  It was retired on September 12, 1989, and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as St Louis South-Western 7284, GM40M-2, on December 14, 1990.  It was assigned Union Pacific 5419 in September 1997 and assigned 1519, Class GP40M-2, in December 1999.

6503, Class GP-40, was built in November 1966, #32647, FN 7943-4, as B&O 3687, Class GP-40. It was renumbered from October 25, 1980, until November 18, 1940, as temporary 9683. It later was renumber 6503 and then became CSX 6303, Class GP-40. It was retired on September 12, 1989, and rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen on December 28, 1990, to GP40M-2, as SSW as 7287. It was assigned UP 5422 in September 1997 and assigned 1522 in December 1999.

6504, Class GP-40, was built in November 1966, #32648, FN 7941-5, as B&O 3688, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 6504 and became CSX 6504, Class GP-40.  It was retired on October 21, 1996, and sold to Metro East Industries on December 6, 1996.  It was sold as Helm Atlantic Leasing 423 in 1997 and sold to Progress Rail Services as PRLX 2020.  It was sold as Belt Ry of Chicago 232 in October 2012.

6506, Class GP-40, was built in November 1966, #32650, FN 7943-7, as B&O 3690, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered from 1979 until mid-1980 as 9690.  It was renumbered 6506 and then became CSX 6506, Class GP-40.  It was retired and sold to Locomotive Leasing Partners on May 31, 2001.

6507, Class GP-40, was built in November 1966, #32651, FN 7943-8, as B&O 3691, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered from August 13, 1979, and mid-1980 as 969165.  It was renumbered 6507 and then CSX 6507, Class GP-40.  It was resisted on July 23, 1991 and sold to Steel Processing Corp on November 9, 1992.  It was rebuilt by National Railway Equipment as Ferrocarril del Pacifico SA D2361 and shipped on August 1, 1998.

6508, Class GP-40, was built in November 1966, #32652, FN 7941-9, as B&O 3692, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered in 1979 and January 1980 and between February 1981 and on March 8, 1981 as 9692.  It was renumbered 6508 and then CSX 6508, Class GP-40.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudson on May 17, 1991, as GP40M-2, as Southern Pacific 7114.  It was assigned UP 5384 and became UP 1484, Class GP40-M2 on October 3, 2001.

6511, Class GP-40, was built in November 1966, #32655, FN 7943-12, as B&O 3695, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 6511 and became CSX 6511, Class GP-40.  It was retired on July 16, 1991, and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen on July 30, 1991, as GP40M-2, as SP 7127.  It was assigned UP 5405 in September 1979 and became UP 1505 on March 30, 2002.

6512, Class GP-40, was built in November 1966, #32656, FN 7943-13, as B&O 3696, Class GP-40. It was renumbered between October 23, 1980, and November 1980 temporary 9696, It later was renumbered 6512 and then became CSX 6512, Class GP-40. It was retired on May 25, 1993, and sold to Helm Atlantic on July 22, 1993. It was then sold to Morrison-Knudsen. It was then rebuilt by Boise Locomotive on March 20, 1998, as Texas Mexican as 1174 and later returned as Helm Leasing.

6513, Class GP-40, was built in November 1966, #32657, FN 7943-14, as B&O 3697, Class GP-40. It was renumbered 6513 and then became CSX 6513, Class GP-40. It was retired on September 30, 1992, and was sold to Steel Processing Corp on April 26, 1993. It was rebuilt to GP40PH-2 by Atelier Montreal Facility as Virginia Rail Express V22.

6519, Class GP-40, was built in December 1970, #36724, FN 7275-4,, as B&O 3743, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered from September 1979 until January 1980 as temporary 9743.  It became 6519 and became CSX 6519, Class GP-40.  It was retired on December 9, 1992 and sold to Steel Processing Corp on March 11, 1993.  It was shipped to Metro East Industries on April 19, 1993, and sold to Morrison Knudsen.  It was rebuilt by Boise Locomotive on April 10, 1998, as Texas-Mexican Ry 1175.  It was returned as First Union Rail 1175 and sold as Herzog Contracting Corp 206 in 2011.

6522, Class GP-40, was built in December 1970, #36727, FN 7275-7, as B&O 3746, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered from early 1979 until March 1980 as temporary 9746.  It became 6522 and became CSX 6522, Class GP-40.  It was retired in July 1998 and renumbered 9730, Class MOW, on September 1, 1998.  It was rebuilt as 2378, Class Road Slug, in 2008.

6526, Class GP-40, was built in January 1971, #36731, FN 7275-11, as B&O 3750, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 6526 and then became CSX 6526, Class GP-40. It was retired on June 23, 1994.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment on August 12, 1994, and sold as New England Central 6526 in March 1995.  It was renumbered 4049 in 1999.

6529, Class GP-40, was built in January 1971, #36734, FN 7275-14, as B&O 3753, Class GP-40.  It became CSX 6529, Class GP-40, and rebuilt by Motive Power Industries as Union Pacific 2518, GP38-3, on August 2, 1997.  It was renumbered 1018 on April 23, 2003, and retired on November 15, 2007.  It was returned as Helm Leasing Co 1018 and leased as Kansas City Southern 1018.  It was sold as Wichita Tillman & Jackson 1018 in April 2012

6530, Class GP-40, was built in January 1971, #36735, FN 7275-15, as B&O 3754, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered in 1979 until January 16, 1980, as 9754 and became CSX 6530, Class GP-40.  It was retired on June 8, 1990, and rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen to GP40M-2, as St Louis South-Western 7293 on January 25, 1991.  It was assigned UP 5428 in September 1997 and became UP 1528 on December 28, 1990.

6531, Class GP-40, was built in January 1971 #36736, FN 7275-16, as B&O 3755, Class GP-40. It was renumbered in 1979 and 1980 numbered as 9755 temporary. It later was renumbered 6531 and then became CSX 6531, Class GP-40. It was damaged and retired on January 13, 1993. It was purchased by National Railway Equipment on May 3, 1993, and was rebuilt by VMV as Kansas City Southern 4749 in March 1994.  It was renumbered 2853 in 2005.

6532, Class GP-40, was built in January 1971, #36737, FN 7275-17, as B&O 3756, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 9756 during March 1980.  It was renumbered 6532 and became became CSX 6532, Class GP-40. It was retired on June 23, 1994, and sold to Helm Atlantic Leasing as 400 on May 13, 1994.  It was sold as Green Mountain Ry 304 in December 1998.

6535, Class GP-40, was built in February 1971, #36740, FN 7275-20, as B&O 3759, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 9759 from February 1981 and April 30, 1981, and renumbered 6535.  It became CSX 6535, Class GP-40, and retired on June 8, 1990.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as SSW 7283, GP40M-2, on December 14, 1990, and assigned UP 5418 in September 1997 and assigned 1518 in December 1999.  It became UP 1338 on March 20, 2009.

6545, Class GP-40, was built in March 1971, #37193, FN 7301-5, as B&O 3769, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 6545 and became CSX 6545, Class GP-40.  It was retired on December 9, 1992.  It was sold as National Railway Equipment Co 6545 on February 15, 1993, and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen Corp as 4303 on January 24, 1994, and leased to Bangor & Aroostook.  It was repossessed by Helm Atlantic on December 15, 2000, and sold as Paducah & Louisville 4303 in January 2001.  It was rebuilt as 2111 in May 2001.

6547, Class GP-40, was built in March 1971, #37196, FN 7301-8, as B&O 3771, Class GP-40. It was renumbered 9771 in February 1981 and back as 3771 on April 30, 1981. It was renumbered 6547, Class GP-40, and later CSX 6547, Class GP-40. It was retired on May 25, 1993, and sold as Helm Atlantic Corp in May 12, 1994. It was rebuilt in VMV in September 1, 1994, as Florida East Coast 444.

6550, Class GP-40, was built in March 1971, #37199, FN 7301-11, as B&O 3775, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 9775 in 1979 and back as 3775 in January 1980.  It was renumbered 6550 and later CSX 6550, Class GP-40.  It was rebuilt as 2362, Class Road Slug, in 2008.

6551, Class GP-40, was built in March 1971, #37200, FN 7301-12, as B&O 3776, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 9776 in 1979 and back as 3776 in March 1980 and back to 9776 in February 1981 and return as 3776 on April 30, 1981.  It was renumbered 6551 and later CSX 6551, Class GP-40.  It was retired on January 16, 1991, rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen to GP40M-2, as SP 7124 on June 25, 1991.  It was assigned UP 5402 in September 1997 and became UP 1502 on May 4, 2003.

6552, Class GP-40, was built in March 1971, #37201, FN 7301-13, as B&O 3777, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 6552 and later CSX 6552, Class GP-40.  It was retired on June 8, 1991.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen to GP40M-2, as SSW 7292 on January 18, 1991.  It was assigned as UP 5427, Class GP40M-2, and became UP 1527 on June 12, 2004.

6553, Class GP-40, was built in March 1971, #37202, FN 7317-1, as B&O 3778, Class GP40.  It was temporarily numbered 9778 in mid February 1981 until April 30, 1981.  It was renumbered 6553 and became CSX 6553, Class GP-40.  It was rebuilt as 2373, Class Road Slug, in 2008.

6556, Class GP-40, was built in December 1971, #39247, FN 5811-12, as Chesapeake & Ohio 3781, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 6556 and became CSX 6556, Class GP-40.  It was sold as Indiana Southern RR 6556 and renumbered 4038.

6557, Class GP-40, was built in December 1971, #39248, FN 5811-13, as C&O 3782, Class GP-40.  It was later renumbered 6557. It became CSX 6557, Class GP-40, and was renumbered 9722, Class MOW.

6561, Class GP-40, was built in December 1971, #39252, FN 5811-16, as C&O 3786, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 6561 and became CSX 6561, Class GP-40.  It was sold as Indiana Southern RR 6561 and renumbered 4043.

6564, Class GP-40, was built in December 1971, #39255, FN 5811-19, as C&O 3789, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 6564 and became CSX 6564, Class GP-40.  It was sold to Helm Atlantic Leasing as HATX 402 in 1994.

6565, Class GF-40, was built in December 1971, #39256, FN 5811-20, as C&O 3790, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 6565 and became CSX 6565, Class GP-40.  It was rebuilt as 9120, Class RCPHE4, in 2004, and rebuilt as 2369, Class Road Slug, in 2008.

6573, Class GP-40, was built in August 1971, #37889, FN 5791-4, as Western Maryland 3798, Class DS-33.  It was reclassified Class GP-40 and renumbered 6573.  It became CSX 6573 and sold as ISRR 6573 in 1992.  It was renumbered 4041.

6581, Class GP-40, was built in August 1971, #38486, FN 7340-32, as B&O 4006, Class GP-40. It was renumbered 6581 and then became CSX 6581, Class GP-40. It was retired on January 13, 1993, and sold to National Railway Equipment on March 10, 1993, It was rebuilt by VMV as KCS 4746, GP40-2P, in June 1994.

6583, Class GP-40, was built in August 1971, #38488, FN 7340-34, as B&O 4008, Class GP-40.  It became CSX 6583, Class GP-40, and sold to Helm Leasing Corp on May 28, 1991.  It was rebuilt by Atelier in October 1992 as North Carolina Department of Transportation 1768 "City of Charlotte", GP40PH-2, and resold as Virginia Railway Express V24 "City of Manassas" in 2000.

6584, Class GP-40, was built in September 1971, #38489, FN 7340-35, as B&O 4009, Class GP-40,  It was renumbered 9009 in 1979 and returned as 4009 in March 1980.  It was renumbered 6584 and became CSX 6584, Class GP-40.  It was rebuilt as 9711, Class MOW on October 7, 1995, and sold as LLPX 3109 on May 31, 2000.

6591, Class GP-40, was built in September 1971, #38496, FN 7340-42, as B&O 4016, Class GP-40. It was renumbered in March 1980 as temporary 9016.  It was renumbered 6591 and then became CSX 6591, Class GP-40.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in October 1991 and was completed on October 25, 1991, as VRE V10, RP39-2C.

6598, Class GP-40, was built in September 1971, #38503, FN 7340-49, as B&O 4023, Class GP-40. It was renumbered 6598 and becane CSX 6598, Class GP-40. It was retired on December 18, 1996, and sold to Locomotive Leasing Partner as 6598 on February 21, 1997. It was rebuilt by VMV on November 1997 as GP38-3 on Cape Briton and Central Nova Scotia as 3806. It was changed to Indiana & Ohio as 3806 on to Central Oregon & Pacific 3806 on 1999. It was then changed as Dallas Garland & NorthEastern as 3806.

6606, Class GP-40, was built in October 1971, #38511, FN 7340-57, as B&O 4031, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered from mid-February 1981 until April 19, 1981, as temporary 9031.  It became 6606 and became CSX 6606, Class GP-40.  It was sold to Helm Leasing on March 18, 1991, and shipped to Metro East Industries by February 1994.  It was sold to Morrison Knudsen and rebuilt by Boise Locomotive on February 27, 1998, as Texas-Mexican Ry 1163, GP40-3.  It was returned as First Union Rail 1163 and sold as Herzog Contracting Corp 202.

6612, Class GP-40, was built in October 1971, #38517, FN 7340-63, as B&O 4037, Class GP-40. It was renumbered 9037 between 1979 and 1980 and later became CSX 6612, Class GP-40. It was retired on August 6, 1991, and sold on Wisconsin Central Ltd as 3001 on May 31, 1994. It was immediately renumbered 3021.

6614, Class GP-40, was built in October 1971, #38519, FN 7340-65, as B&O 4039, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 9039 in September 1979 and returned to 4039 in January 1980.  It became CSX 6614, Class GP-40, and retired November 30, 1995.  It was rebuilt by Boise on June 18, 1997, as GP38-3 Union Pacific 2516 and renumbered 1016 on November 19, 2002.

6620, Class GP-40, was built in October 1971, #38525, FN 7340-71, as B&O 4045, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 9045 from August 13, 1979, until January 1980.  It became CSX 6620, Class GP-40, and retired on May 9, 1997.  It was sold to Helm Atlantic Leasing as HATX 425 in 1997 and sold to Progress Rail Services as PRLX 425.  It was sold as Belt Ry of Chicago 230 in October 2012.

6624, Class GP-40, was built in October 1971, #38529, FN 7340-75, as B&O 4049, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered as 9049 from August 13, 1979, and mid 1980.  It was renumbered 6624 and became CSX 6624, Class GP-40.  I was retired on January 16, 1991, and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen  on June 4, 1991, as SP 7118.  It was assigned UP 5388 and became UP 1488, Class GP40M-2, on December 1, 2004.

6628, Class GP-40, was built in October 1971, #38533, FN 7340-79, as B&O 4053, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 9053 from February 1981 until April 30, 1981.  It became CSX 6628, Class GP-40, and retired on May 9, 1997.  It was sold as HATX 430 in 1997 and sold as PRLX 430.  It was sold as BRC 231 in October 2012.

6634, Class GP-40, was built in October 1971, #38539, FN 7365-5, as B&O 4059, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 9059 in March 1980 and in March and April 1981.  It became CSX 6634, Class GP-40, and renumbered 9718, Class MOW, on December 16, 1995.  It was rebuilt as 2372, Class Road Slug, in 2008.

6646, Class GP-40, was built in May 1967, #33099, FN 7990-3, as Atlanta & West Point 726.  It became Seaboard System 6646 and later CSX as 6646, Class GP-40.

6647, Class GP-40, was built in July 1968, #33882, FN 7093-2, as A&WP 727.  It became SBD 6647 and later CSX as 6647, Class GP-40.  It was sold to Progress Rail.

6649, Class GP-40, was built in February 1969, #34751, as A&WP 729, GP40. It became SBD 6649 and was became CSX as 6649, Class GP-40. It was rebuilt by Boise as GP38-3 in January 26, 1998, as UP 2523 and renumbered as 1023 on October 14, 2003.

6652, Class GP-40, was built in May 1970, #36173, as A&WP 732.  It became SBD 6652 and later as CSX 6652, Class GP-40.  It was then sold to Conrail Leasing Co as 256 and later New York Susquehanna & Western as 3040.

6656, Class GP-40, was built in July 1968, #33884, FN 7093-4, as A&WP 754.  It became SBD 6656 and later became CSX 6656, Class GP40.  It was sold to Morrison Knudsen.

6659, Class GP-40, was built in December 1966, #32352, as Atlantic Coast Line 917. It became Seaboard Coast Line 1502 in July 1967 and then SBD 6659. It then became CSX 6659, Class GP-40, and sold to Helm Atlanta Leasing Co as 405.

6660, Class GP-40, was built in December 1966, #32353, as ACL 918.  It became SCL 1503 in July 1967 and then SBD 6660.  It then became CSX 6660, Class GP-40.

6661, Class GP-40, was built in December 1966, #32354, as ACL 919.  It became SCL 1504 in July 1967 and then SBD 6661.  It then became CSX 6661, Class GP-40, and rebuilt at Boise on February 28, 1997, as Union Pacific 2505, GP38-3, and renumbered 1005 on March 7, 2003.

6667, Class GP-40, was built in December 1966, #32360, FN 7929-11, as ACL 925.  It became SCL 1510 in July 1967 and then SBD 6667.  It became CSX 6667, Class GP-40, and sold to Helm as HLCX 4000.  It was sold to Progress Rail as PRLX 4000 in 2008.

6669, Class GP-40, was built in December 1966, #32362, as ACL 927.  It became SCL 1512 in July 1967 and then SBD 6669.  It became CSX 6669, Class GP-40, and sold as VMV Enterprises as 6669.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen on June 14, 1991, as Virginia Railway Express V01.  It was sold to Motive Power Industries as MPEX 101 in 2011 and sold as Bay Line RR 2318 in 2012

6671, Class GP-40, was built in December 1966, #32364, by ACL 929.  It was merged as SCL 1514 in July 1967 and then SBD  6671.  It then became CSX 6671, Class GP-40, and later sold as Mississippi Export RR 95.

6672, Class GP-40, was built in May 1966, #31767, FN 7885-1, as Seaboard Air Line RR 600. In July 1967 it became Seaboard Coast Line 1515 and later SBD 1515. It was later renumbered 6672 and then became CSX 6672, Class GP-40. It was sold to VMV Enterprises as 6672 and then was rebuilt as Union Pacific 859.

6680, Class GP-40, was built in May 1966, #31776, FN 7885-10, as SAL 609.  In July 1967 it became SCL 1524 and later SBD 1524.  It was later renumbered 6680 and then became CSX 6680, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 9727, Class MOW, and was rebuilt as 2374, Class Road Slug, in 2008.

6689, Class GP-40, was built in May 1966, #31787, FN 7897-3, as SAL 618.  It became SCL 1535 and became SBD 1535.  It was renumbered 6689 and became CSX 6689, Class GP-40.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as GP40M-2 on April 16, 1991, as Southern Pacific 7113.  It was assigned Union Pacific 5383 in 1997 and became UP 1483 in January 13, 2002.

6692, Class GP-40, was built in July 1966, #31790, FN 7897-6, as SAL 621.  In July 1967 it became SCL 1536 and later SBD 1536.  It was renumbered 6692 and then became CSX 6692, Class GP-40.  It was sold as VMV Enterprises 6692 and rebuilt as United States Army 4631.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co as 4631 and sold as Fort Worth & Western 2020 "Wyatt Earp" in December 2011.

6697, Class GP-40, was built in July 1966, #31795, FN 7897-13, as SAL 626.  In July 1967 it became SCL 1541 and later SBD 1541.  It was renumbered 6697 and then became CSX 6697, Class GP-40.  It was rebuilt at Boise on February 26, 1997, as Union Pacific 2506, GP38-3, and renumbered 1000 on June 3, 2003.

6705, Class GP-40, was built in January 1967, #32618, FN 7944-6, as SAL 635.  In July 1967 it became SCL 1550 and later SBD 1550.  It was renumbered 6705 and then became CSX 6705, Class GP-40.  It was rebuilt as 9731, Class MOW, and rebuilt by National Railway Equipment as Burlington Northern Santa Fe 2005, Class GP38-2, in August 2006.

6711, Class GP-40, was built in January 1967, #32620, FN 7944-12, as SAL 641.  In July 1967 it became SCL 1556 and later SBD 1556.  It was later renumbered 6711 and then became CSX 6711, Class GP-40.  It was sold as Missouri & North Arkansas 4211 and rebuilt as Chesapeake & Albemarle 3841, a GP38M. It was transferred as Virginia Southern RR 3841 and sold to Bro-Tex International Metals in October 2011.

6717, Class GP-40, was built in February 1967, #32960, as SAL 647.  In July 1967 it became SCL 1562 and later SBD 1562.  It was later renumbered 6717 and then became CSX 6717, Class GP-40.  It was sold as M&NA 4217 and rebuilt as CA 3842, a GP38M. It was transferred as VSO 3842 and sold to Bro-Tex International Metals in October 2011.

6720, Class GP-40, was built in February 1967, #32963, as SAL 650.  In July 1967 it became SCL 1565 and later SBD 1565.  It was later renumbered 6720 and then became CSX 6720, Class GP-40.  It was sold as HATX 803 and Webb Asset Management Co 4047.

6721, Class GP-40, was built in December 1969, #35079, FN 7183-1, as SCL 1566.  It became SBD 1566 and renumbered 6721.  It became CSX 6721, Class GP-40.

6722, Class GP-40, was built in December 1969, #35080, FN 7183-2, as SCL 1567.  It became SBD 1567 and renumbered 6722.  It became CSX 6722, Class GP-40, and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen on May 17, 1991, as Southern Pacific 7115.  It became Union Pacific 1485 on December 13, 2001.

6723, Class GP-40, was built in December 1969, #35081, as SCL 1568.  It became SBD 1568 in January 1983.  It was renumbered 6723 in 1984 and then became CSX 6723, Class GP-40, in April 1986.  It was rebuilt by Precision National as 2207, Class Road Slug, in January 1989.

6726, Class GP-40, was built in May, 1970, #35914, as SCL 1613. It later became SBD 1613 in January 1983 and renumbered 6726 in 1984.  It then became CSX 6726, Class GP-40, in April 1986. It was sold as Georgetown RR 9403 and resold as Providence & Worcester 3003.

6727, Class GP-40, was built in January 1970, #35085, FN 7183-7, as SCL 1572.  It became SBD 1572 in January 1983 and renumbered 6727 in 1984.  It became CSX 6727, Class GP-40, in April 1986 and sold as Idaho Northern & Pacific 4503 in 1994.

6728, Class GP-40, was built in January 1970, #35086, FN 7183-8, as SCL 1573.  It became SBD 1573 in January 1983 and renumbered 6728 in 1984.  It became CSX 6728, Class GP-40, in April 1986.  It was rebuilt by AMF in March 1994 as Kansas City Southern 4753 and renumbered 2844 in 2005.

 

6731, Class GP-40, was built in December 1969, #35089, FN 7153-11, as SCL 1576. It became SBD 1576 in January 1983 and renumbered 6731 in 1984.  It became CSX 6731, Class GP-40, in April 1986. It was rebuilt by AMF in May 27, 1994, as KCS 4759 and renumbered 2856 in 2005.

6739, Class GP-40, was built in January 1970, #35097, FN 7183-19, as SCL 1584.  It became SBD 1584 in January 1983 and renumbered 6739 in 1984.  It became CSX 6739, Class GP-40, in April 1986 and rebuilt as 9715, Class MOW.  It was rebuilt as 2385, Class Road Slug, in 2008.

6740, Class GP-40, was built in January 1970, #35098, as SCL 1585.  It became SBD 1585 in January 1983 and 6740 in 1984.  It became CSX 6740, Class GP-40, in April 1986, and sold to Railtex as Indiana & Ohio 4050.

6741, Class GP-40, was built in January 1970, #35099, FN 7183-21, as SCL 1586.  It became SBD 1586 in January 1983 and renumbered 6741 in 1984.  It became CSX 6741, Class GP-40, in April 1986 and rebuilt at Boise in March 1998 as Texas-Mexican Ry 1170.  It was returned as First Union Rail 1170.

6742, Class GP-40, was built in January 1970, #35100, FN 7183-22, as SCL 1587. It became SBD 1587 in January 1983  and renumbered 6742 in 1984.  It became CSX 6742, Class GP-40, in April 1986.  It was sold to RailTex as Indiana & Ohio 6742 in 1997 and renumbered 4033 in 1999.

6743, Class GP-40, was built in January 1970, #35101, FN 7183-23, as SCL 1588.  It became SBD 1588 in January 1983 and renumbered 6743 in 1984.  It became CSX 6743, Class GP-40, in April 1986. .  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen to GP40M-2 as St Louis South-Western 7288 on December 28, 1990.  It was assigned Union Pacific 5423, Class GP40M-2, in September 1997 and became UP 1523 on January 22, 2004.

6744, Class GP-40, was built in January 1970, #35102, FN 7183-24, as SCL 1589.  It became SBD 1586 in January 1983 and renumbered 6744 in 1984.  It became CSX 6744, Class GP-40, in April 1986 and sold to Helm Atlantic Leasing Corp as HATX 422.  It was rebuilt as TM 1158, GP40M-3.

6747, Class GP-40, was built in January 1970, #35105, as SCL 1592.  It became SBD 1592 and later 6747.  It then became CSX 6747, Class GP-40.  It was rebuilt by VMV in June 1994 as KCS 4745 and renumbered 2846 in 2005.

6752, Class GP-40, was built in March 1970, #35898, FN 7229-2, as SCL 1597.  It became SBD 1597 in January 1983 and renumbered 6752 in 1984.  It became CSX 6752, Class GP-40, in April 1986 and rebuilt as 9716, Class MOW.  It was rebuilt as 2348, Class Road Slug.

6763, Class GP-40, was built in May 1970, #35910, as SCL 1609. It later became SBD 1609 and was later renumbered 6763 and then CSX 6763, Class GP-40. It was later sold to Railtex as Indiana & Ohio 4035.

6765, Class GP-40, was built in May 1970, #35912, as SCL 1611. It became SBD 1611 and was later renumbered 6765. It later became CSX 6765, Class GP-40, and was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen to GP40M-2 on June 19, 1991, as Southern Pacific 7135.  It was assigned as Union Pacific 1513.

6769, Class GP-40, was built in May 1970, #35916, FN 7229-20, as SCL 1615,  It became SBD 1620 in January 1983 and renumbered 6769 in 1984.  It later became CSX 6769, Class GP-40, in April 1986 and was rebuilt by AMF in February 1994 as Kansas City Southern 4751.  It was wrecked at Newton, MS, on July 10, 1999.

6774, Class GP-40, was built in May 1970, #35921, FN 7229-25, as SCL 1620.  It became SBD 1620 in January 1983 and renumbered 6774 in 1984.  It became CSX 6774, Class GP-40, in April 1986.  It was rebuilt by VMV Enterprises as Florida East Coast 446 in September 1994 as a GP40-3.  It was transferred as Alabama & Gulf Coast 446 in 2011.

6776, Class GP-40, was built in May 1970, #5923, FN 7669-27, as SCL 1622.  It became SBD 1622 in January 1983 and renumbered 6776 in 1984.  It became CSX 6776, Class GP-38, on April 1986 and sold to Locomotive Leasing Partners as LLPX 3202.  It was sold as St Lawrence & Atlantic 3202. 3202.

6777, Class GP-40, was built in May 1970, #35924, FN 7229-28, as SCL 1623.  It became SBD 1623 in January 1983 and renumbered 6777 in 1984.  It then became CSX 6777, Class GP-40, in April 1986.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen on June 21, 1991, as SP 7123, GP40M-2, and became Union Pacific 1501 on July 30, 2001.

6786, Class GP-40, was built in June 1970, #35933, as SCL 1632. It became SBD 1632 and was later renumbered 6786. It then became CSX 6786, Class GP-40. It was sold to and rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen in 1994 as Maryland Mass Transit Administration 53.

6789, Class GP-40, was built in September 1971, #5793-3, FN 579303, as SCL 1635. It became SBD 1635 and was later renumbered 6789. It came become CSX 6789, Class GP40. It was rebuilt as RP39-2C by Morrison Knudsen in August 1991 and was completed on August 23, 1991, as Virginia Railway Express V05, a RP39-2C.  It was sold to Motive Power Industries as MPEX 105 in 2011 and sold as Bay Line RR 2320 in 2012.

 

6802, Class GP-40, was built in November 1966, #32448, FN 5718-6, as Louisville & Nashville 3005, Class GP-40.  It became SBD 6802 and later became CSX 6802, Class GP-40.  It was sold to Helm Leasing Co as HATX 418 and sold to Progress Rail Service as PRSX 4181.  It was sold to General American Transportation Co as GMTX 3005 in 2008.

6803, Class GP-40, was built in October 1966, #32449, as L&N 3006, Class GP-40.  It became SBD 6803 and later became CSX 6803, Class GP-40.  It was rebuilt by Atelier in 1992 as North Carolina Department of Transportation 1792 "City of Raleigh", GP40PH-2, and wrecked at Mebane, NC, in May 2010.  It was parted out.

6804, Class GP-40, was built in November 1966, #32450, FN 5718-8, as L&N 3007, Class GP-40.  It became SBD 6804 and later became CSX 6804, Class GP-40.  It was rebuilt by Boise Locomotive in 1998 as Texas-Mexican Ry 1165 and returned to First Union Rail as FURX 1165.

6811, Class GP-40, was built in September 1967, #33454, as L&N 3015, Class GP-40.  It became SBD 6811 and later became CSX 6811, Class GP-40.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen GP40M-2 on February 25, 1991 as SP 7294 and was assigned as UP 5429.  It became UP 1529 on August 4, 2001.

6814, Class GP-40, was built is September 1967, #33457, as L&N 3018, Class GP-40.  It became SBD 6814 and later CSX 6814, Class GP-40.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in September 1991 and was completed on September 29, 1991, as VRE V09, a RP39-2C.  It was sold to Motive Power Industries as MPEX 109 in 2011and sold as Bay Line RR 2321 in 2012.

6817, Class GP-40, was built in September 1967, #33460, FN 7075-12, as L&N 3021, Class GP-40.  It became SBD 6817.  It later became CSX 6817, Class GP-40 and was rebuilt  by AMF in March 1993 as Kansas City Southern 4752.  It was renumbered 2818 in 2005.

6818, Class GP-40, was built in September 1967, #33461, as L&N 3022, Class GP-40. It later became SBD 6818 and later CSX 6818, Class GP-40. It was rebuilt as a GP40-3 in September 1994 as FEC 445.

6824, Class GP-40, was built in September 1967, #33467, FN 7075-19, as L&N 3028, Class GP-40.  It became SBD 6824 and later CSX 6824, Class GP-40.  It was rebuilt by Motive Power Industries as Union Pacific 2501, GP38-3, on February 11, 1997.  It was renumbered 1001 on September 3, 2001, and retired on November 26, 2007.  It was returned as Helm Leasing Co 1001 and leased as Kansas City Southern 1001.  It was sold as Wichita Tillman & Jackson 1001 in April 2012.

6826, Class GP-40, was built in July 1971, #38551, FN 7340-7, as Chesapeake & Ohio 4071, Class GP-40. It was later renumbered 6826 and later became CSX 6826, Class GP-40. It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen to GP40M-2 on June 14, 1991, as Southern Pacific 7136.  It was assigned as UP 5414 and became UP 1514 on March 12, 2006.

6833, Class GP-40, was built in July 1971, #38558, FN 7340-14, as C&O 4078, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 6833 and later CSX 6833, Class GP-40.  It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen on July 16, 1991, as SP 7126 and assigned as UP 1504, Class GP40M-2.  It was apparently retired without renumbering.

6834, Class GP-40, was built in July 1971, #38559, FN 7340-15, as C&O 4079, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 6834 and later CSX 6834, Class GP-40.  It was rebuilt as 2358, Class Road Slug, in April 2008.

6841, Class GP-40, was built in July 1971, #38566, FN 7340-22, as C&O 4086, Class GP-40. It was numbered 6841 and later CSX 6841, Class GP-40. It was rebuilt as RP39-2C by Morrison Knudsen in September 1991 and was completed on September 20, 1991, as VRE V08.

6842, Class GP-40, was built in August 1971, #38567, FN 7340-25, as C&O 4087, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 6842 and became CSX 6842, Class GP-40.  It was sold as National Railway Equipment Co 6842 and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen Corp as 4305.  It was sold to Progress Rail as PRLX 4305 in 2007.

6844, Class GP-40, was built in August 1971, #38569, FN 7340-25, as C&O 4089, Class GP-40. It later was renumbered 6844 and later CSX 6844, Class GP-40. It was rebuilt as a GP40-3 as FEC 447.

6845, Class GP-40, was built in December 1971, #39236, FN 7340-81, as C&O 4090, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 6845, Class GP-40,  and became CSX 6845, Class GP-40.  It was rebuilt as 6000, Class GP40-2.

6849, Class GP-40, was built in December 1971, #39240, FN 5811-4, as C&O 4094, Class GP-40.  It was renumbered 6849 and became CSX 6849, Class GP-40.  It was rebuilt as 2350, Class Road Slug.

6855, Class GP-40, was built in October 1966, #32149, as Richmond Fredericksburg & Potomac 121.  It became CSX 6855, Class GP-40, in 1991 and later rebuilt as Wisconsin & Southern 3805, a GP38.

6857, Class GP-40, was built in October 1966, #32151, as RF&P 123.  It became CSX 6857, Class GP-40, in 1991 and rebuilt by VMV as 2337, road slug, in March 1998.

6858, Class GP-40, was built in October 1966, #32152, as RF&P 124.  It became CSX 6858, Class GP-40, in 1991 and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in March 12, 1997, as Union Pacific 2509, a GP38-3.  It was renumbered 1009 on October 31, 2003.

6859, Class GP-40, was built in October 1966, #32153, as RF&P 125.  It became CSX 6859, Class GP-40, in 1991 and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in June 6, 1997, as UP 2515, a GP38-3.  It was renumbered 1015 on January 7, 2003.

6860, Class GP-40, was built in May 1967, #32154, as RF&P 126.  It became CSX 6860, Class GP-40, in 1991 and renumbered 9726, Class MOW.  It was rebuilt as 2363, Class Road Slug, in 2008.

6861, Class GP-40, was built in March 1967, #35106, as RF&P 127. It became CSX 6861, Class GP-40, in 1991. It was purchased by National Railway Equipment and rebuilt by VMV in July 1994 as Kansas City Southern 4747.
