8104, Class SD40-2, was built in May 1980, #796329-10, FN 796329-10, as L&N 8104, Class SD40-2.  It became SBD 8104 in January 1983 and later CSX 8104, Class SD40-2, in April 1986.  It was rebuilt as 4028, Class SD40-3, in 2011.

8108, Class SD40-2, was built in May 1980, #796329-14, FN 796329-14, as L&N 8108, Class SD40-2.  It became SBD 8108 in January 1983 and later CSX 8108, Class SD40-2, in April 1986.  It was rebuilt as 4021, Class SD40-3, in 2011.

8337 Class SD40-2, was built in September 1966, #32143, FN 5710-3, as Clinchfield RR  3002.  It later became SBD 8278 in January 1983 and renumbered 8337 in 1984.  It became CSX 8337, Class SD-40, in April 1986.  It was rebuilt as Class SD40-2.

8419, Class SD-40, was built in August 1966, #31947, FN 7907-12, as Chesapeake & Ohio 7468, Class SD-40.  It was renumbered 7568 in December 1973 and renumbered 8419 in 1984.  It became CSX 8419, Class SD-40, in 1985 and rebuilt by VMV as Class SD40-2.  It was rebuilt by National Railway Equipment Co as 1600, Class 3GS21C, in January 2011.

8441, SD40u, Class SD40-2, was built in October 1971, #37920, FN 7324-32, as Union Pacific 3114, Class SD-40. It was retired on July 17, 1989, and sold to Morrison Knudsen On December 7, 1989. It was rebuilt in Boise as June 2, 1990, as CSX 8441, Class SD40-2.

8466, SD40u, Class SD40-2. was built in February 1969, #34522, FN 7144-19 , as Missouri Pacific 752, SD40. It renumbered 3052 in March 1974 and returned in U S Leasing Corp in June 1984. It was later sold to Paducah & Louisville as 3052 and then VMV Enterprises as 3052. It was then rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in August 1990 as CSX 8466, Class SD40-2, on August 17, 1990.

8475, SD40u, Class SD40-2, was built in February 1969, #34504, FN 7144-1, as MP 734.  It was renumbered 3034 in March 1974 returned in U S Leasing Corp on July 31, 1984. It was later sold to VMV as 3034. It was then rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in August 1990 as CSX 8475, Class SD40-2, on September 20, 1990.  It was destroyed on January 19, 1991.

8488, SD45m, Class SD40-2, was built in April 1966, #33648, FN 7082-17, as Southern Pacific 8951, Class EF636-3.  It was retired in 1989 and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in November 1990 as CSX 8488, Class SD40-2, on November 17, 1990.

8801, Class SD40-2, was built in June 1977, #766078-13, FN 766078-13, as Consolidated Railroad Corp 6370, Class SD40-2.  It became CSX 8801, Class SD40-2, in 1999.

8802, Class SD40-2, was built in July 1977, #766078-15, FN 766078-15, as Conrail 6372, Class SD40-2.  It was sold as CSX 8802, Class SD40-2, in 1999.
