General Motors SD40 Diesels

5003, Class GF-30c, was built in September 1967, #A2249, FN C322-4.  It was retired on March 22, 1999, and rebuilt by Alsthom as Burlington Northern Santa Fe 7317, Class SD40-2, in August 1999.  It was renumbered 6977 in February 15, 2008, and retired on January 21, 2011.  It was sold to WATCo as WAMX 4158.

5004, Class GF-30c, was built in September 1967, #A2250, FN C322-5.  It was retired on March 3, 1999, and rebuilt by Alsthom as BNSF 7318, Class SD40-2, in August 1999.  It was renumbered 6978 May 22, 2007, and retired on January 21, 2011.  It was sold to Rail Switching LLC as RSIX 6978 in 2011.

5007, Class GF-30c, was built in September 1967, #A2253, FN C322-8.  It was retired on March 23, 1999, and rebuilt by Alsthom as BNSF 7319, Class SD40-2, in August 1999.  It was renumbered 6979 in 2007 and sold as WAMX 4159.

5008, Class GF-30d, was built in October 1967, #A2260, FN C324-1.  It was retired on January 22, 1999, and rebuilt by Alstom as BNSF 7323, Class SD40-2, on September 3, 1999.  It was renumbered 6983 on May 12, 2007, and retired in November 2010.  It was sold as WAMX 4160.

5010, Class GF-30d, was built in November 1967, #A2262, FN C324-3.  It was retired on April 24, 1998, and sold to GEC Alsthom on May 18, 1998.  It was rebuilt as New Brunswick East Coast Ry 6905 in 1999 and resold as Dakota Missouri Valley & Western 6905 in 2009.

5015, Class GF-30d, was built in November 1967, #A2267, FN C324-8. It was retired on May 12, 2000, and sold to Larry's Truck Equipment Co.

5016, Class GF039d, was built in November 1967, #A2268, FN C324-9, as CN 5016, Class GF-30d, a SD40.  It was retired on March 3, 1999, and rebuilt by Alstom as BNSF 7324, Class SD40-2, on September 10, 1999.  It was renumbered 6984 on December 5, 2006, and retired in November 2010.  It was sold as WAMX 4161.

5024, Class GF-30d, was built in December 1967, #A2276, FN C324-17.  It was retired on March 15, 1999, and rebuilt by Alstom as BNSF 7327, Class SD40-2, in September 1999.  It was renumbered 6987 on March 13, 2008, and retired on January 21, 2011.  It was sold as WAMX 4165 in 2011.

5030, Class GF-30d, was built in January 1968, #A2282, FN C325-5.  It was retired on June 18, 2002, and sold for scrap to General Scrap on September 30, 2003.

5031, Class GF-30d, was built in January 1968, #A2283, FN C325-6.  It was retired on January 16, 1999, and rebuilt by Alstom as BNSF 7307, Class SD40-2, in August 1999.  It was renumbered 6967 in 2007 and retired on January 21, 2011.  It was sold to Railway Service Contractors Inc as MJRX 6967 in May 2011 and sold as Wheeling & Lake Erie 6967 in January 2014.

5037, Class GF-30d, was built in January 1968, #A2289, FN C325-12. It was retired on July 30, 1992, and was rebuilt by AMF in 1992 as 6000, Class GF-630A.

5038, Class GF-30d, was built in January 1968, #A2290, FN C325-13.  It was destroyed at Mont St-Hilaire, QC, on December 30, 1999.

5044, Class GF-30d, was built in May 1968, #A2296, FN C325-19.  It was retired on March 3, 1999, and rebuilt by Alstom as BNSF 7312, Class SD40-2, in August 1999.  It was renumbered 6972 in 2007 and sold to Midwest Locomotive Works as MWLX 6972.

5056, Class GF-30d, was built in July 1968, #A2308, FN C325-31.  It was retired on February 22, 1999, and rebuilt by Alstom as BNSF 7332, Class SD40-2, on September 22, 1999.  It was renumbered 6992 on May 26, 2007, and retired in November 2010.  It was sold as WAMX 4162,

5058, Class GF-30d, was built in July 1968, #A2310, FN C325-33.  It was retired on March 30, 1996, and un-retired on November 15, 1996.  It was re-retired on January 6, 1999, and rebuilt by Alstom as BNSF 7314, Class SD40-2, in August 1999.  It was renumbered 6974 in 2007 and sold to Motive Power Resources as MVPX 6974.

5060, Class GF-30d, was built in September 1968, #A2312, FN C325-35.  It was retired on June 16, 2002, and delivered to General Scrap on September 30, 2003.

5066, Class GF-30d, was built in October 1968, #A2318, FN C325-41.  It was retired on April 29, 1999, and rebuilt by Alstom as BNSF 7334, Class SD40-2, on September 22, 1999.  It was renumbered 6994 on May 13, 2007, and retired in November 2010.  It was sold as WAMX 4163.

5067, Class GF-30d, was built in October 1968, #A2319, FN C325-42.  It was retired on January 22, 1999, and rebuilt by Alstom in 1999 for Chemin de Fer Matapedia et du Golfe as CFMG 6908.  It was sold to Allied Services as ASDX 6908 in 2009.

5069, Class GF-30d, was built in October 1968, #A2321, FN C325-44.  It was retired on February 22, 1999, and rebuilt by Alstom as BNSF 7335, Class SD40-2, on October 5, 1999.  It was renumbered 6995 on May 29, 2007, and retired in November 2010.  It was rebuilt by Mid America Car for In-Terminal Services as ITSX 6995 in 2015.

5071, Class GF-30d, was built in November 1968, #A2323, FN C325-46.  It was retired on November 27, 1998, and sold to National Railway Equipment Co.  It was rebuilt as Union Pacific 4762, Class SD40-2, on August 13, 1999, and renumbered as 2812 on August 4, 2001.  It was returned as CIT Financial Group CEFX 2812.

5086, Class GF-30e, was built in April 1969, #A2345, FN C329-3.  It was retired on November 21, 1947, and rebuilt by AMF in 1997 as GEC-Alsthom GCFX 6062.  It was sold as Quebec-Gatineau Ry 6062 and transferred as Buffalo & Pittsburgh 3332.

5088, Class GF-30e, was built in May 1969, #A2347, FN C329-5.  It was retired on May 5, 1998, and rebuilt by Alsthom in December 1998 as Kansas City Southern 6600, SD40-3.  It was renumbered 3128  and renumbered 3138.  It was sold as Mobil Grain Ltd 3138 in July 2011.

5089, Class GF-30e, was built in May 1969, #A2348, FN C330-2.  It was retired on May 27, 1998, and rebuilt by Alsthom in November 1998 as KCS 6603.  It was renumbered 3129 and renumbered 3139.  It was sold as Dakota Missouri Valley & Western 3139 in October 2011.

5090, Class GF-30e, was built in May 1969, #A2349, FN C330-3.  It was retired on May 27, 1998. and rebuilt by Alsthom in November 1998 as KCS 6604.  It was wrecked west of Jackson, MS, in July 2005.  It was retired.

5091, Class GF-30e, was built in May 1969, #A2350, FN C330-4.  It was retired on June 19, 1998, and rebuilt by Alstom as KCS 6607, SD40-3, in December 1998.  It was renumbered 3130 and sold as MGLX 3130 in July 2011.

5093, Class GF-30e, was built in May 1969, #A2352, FN C330-6.  It was retired on August 6, 1998, and rebuilt by Alsthom in December 1998 as KCS 6615.  It was renumbered 3133 in 2008 and sold as Independent Locomotive Service 3133 in 2011.

5094, Class GF-30e, was built in May 1969, #A2353, FN C330-7.  It was retired on July 31, 1998, and rebuilt by Alsthom as KCS 6610 in December 1998.  It was renumbered 3132 and sold as DMV&W 3132 in October 2011.

5095, Class GF-30e, was built in May 1969, #A2354, FN C330-8.  It was retired on March 31, 1998, and sold to Alsthom on April 29, 1998.  It was planned to be sold to New Brunswick East Coast Ry, but it was rebuilt as KCS 6602, SD40-3, in November 1998.  It was renumbered 3131 and sold as DMV&W 3131 in October 2011.

5097, Class GF-30e, was built in May 1969, #A2356, FN C330-10.  It was retired on August 6, 1998, and rebuilt by Alsthom in December 1998 as KCS 6616.  It was renumbered 3134 in 2008 and sold as DMVW 3134 in October 2011.

5112, Class GF-30e, was built in May 1969, #A2371, FN C330-15.  It was retired on November 25, 1997, and rebuilt by GEC-Alstom as GCFX 6064, SD40-3.  It was rebuilt and leased as Wisconsin Central Ltd 6934 in March 2004.  It was sold as MGLX 6934 in July 2011.

5115, Class GF-30e, was built in May 1969, #A2374, FN C330-18.  It was retired on August 27, 1997, and rebuilt by AMF in 1997 as GEC-Alsthom GCFX 6036.  It was renumbered 6906 and leased to WCLtd 6906 in 2004.  It was sold as Western Labrador Rail Services 6906 and transferred as QGRY 3327 in 2011.

5117, Class GF-30e, was built in May 1969, #A2376, FN C330-20.  It was retired on July 31, 1998, and rebuilt by Alsthom in December 1998 as KCS 6613.  It was renumbered 3137 and sold as ILSX 3137 in 2011.

5128, Class GF-30h, was built in May 1970, A2387, FN C333-3.  It was retired on May 21, 1998, and sold to Helm Leasing Corp as HLCX 6306 in 1998.  It was scrapped in December 2012.

5130, Class GF-30h, was built in May 1970, #A2389, FN C333-5.  It was burned at Kinsella, AB, on August 5, 1991.  It hit a truck load of light crude oil.  It was retired on September 23, 1991.

5131, Class GF-30h, was built in May 1970, #A2390, FN C333-6. It was rebuilt by AMF in 1999 as KCS 6630. It was returned to CN as Grand Trunk Western 5947 in 2002.

5135, Class GF-30h, was built in May 1970, #A2394, FN C333-10.  It was retired on September 11, 1997, and rebuilt by AMF in 1997 as GEC-Asthom GCFX 6043.  It was leased as WCLtd 6913 in 2004 and sold as Quebec-Gatineau Ry 6913.

5136, Class GF-30h, was built in May 1970, #A2395, FN C333-11.  It was retired on March 30, 1996.

5142, Class GF-30h, was built in May 1970, #A2398, FN C333-14. It was rebuilt by AMF in 1999 as KCS 6633. It was returned to CN as GTW 5950 in 2002.

5146, Class GF-30h, was built in May 1970, #A2405, FN C333-18.  It was retired on October 22, 1997, and rebuilt by AMF in 1998 as GEC-Alsthom GCFX 6068.  It was sold as QGRy 6068 and transferred as Buffalo & Pittsburgh 3331.

5147, Class GF-30h, was built in May 1970, #A2406, FN C333-19.  It was retired on May 27, 1998, and rebuilt by Alsthom in December 1998 as KCS 6606, SD40-3.  It was renumbered 3147 and sold as MGLX 3147 in July 2011.

5148, Class GF-30h, was built in May 1970, #A2407, FN C333-20.  It was retired on December 12, 1997, and rebuilt by AMF in 1998 as GEC-Alsthom GCFX 6076.  It was sold as QGRy 6076 and transferred as BP 3333.

5155, Class GF-30h, was built in May 1970, #A2414, FN C333-27.  It was retired on August 12, 1998, and rebuilt by Alsthom in December 1998 as KCS 6614.  It was renumbered 3149 and sold as DMVW 3149 in October 2011.

5164, Class GF-30h, was built in February 1971, #A2423, FN C333-36.  It was retired on July 31, 1998, and rebuilt by Alsthom as KCS 6611 in December 1998.  It was renumbered 3145 and sold as DMVW 3145 in October 2011.

5165, Class GF-30h, was built in February 1971, #A2424, FN C333-37.  It was retired on January 22, 1999, and rebuilt by Alstom as  Burlington Northern Santa Fe  7310, Class SD40-2, in August 1999.  It was renumbered 6970 in 2007 and sold to WATCo as WAMX 4157.

5166, Class GF-30h, was built in February 1971, #A2425, FN C333-38.  It was retired on January 7, 1993, and rebuilt by AMF in 1993 as CN 6006. Class GF-630A, SD40-3Q.

5176, Class GF-30k, was built in April 1971, #A2493, FN C338-1.  It was retired on June 21, 1997, and rebuilt by GEC-Alstom as GCFX 6031, SD40-3.  It was rebuilt and leased as WCLtd 6901 in March 2004.  It was sold as Last Mountain Ry 6901 in July 2001.

5188, Class GF-30k, was built in 1971, #A2505, FN C338-13. It was rebuilt by AMF in January 1999 as KCS 6619.  It was renumbered 3152 in 2008 and sold as ILSX 3152 in 2011

5189, Class GF-30k, was built in July 1971, #A2506, FN C338-14.  It was retired on September 4, 1997, and rebuilt by AMF in 1997 as GEC-Alsthom GCFX 6042.  It was sold as QGRY 6042 and transferred as BP 3330.

5190, Class GF-30k, was built in 1971, #A2507, FN C338-15.  It was retired on October 7, 1997, and rebuilt by AMF in 1997 as GEC-Alsthom GCFX 6050.  It was leased as WCLtd 6920 in 2004 and sold as QCRy 6920.

5192, Class GF-30k, built in August 1971, #A2509, C338-17.  It was retired on Octo0ber 20, 1997, and rebuilt by AMF in 1997 as GEC-Alsthom 6053, Class GF-630d, in 1997.  It was wrecked and rebuilt as 1999.  It was sold as WCLtd 6923 in 2004.

5193, Class GF-30k, was built in 1971, #A2510, , FN C338-18.  It was retired on November 11, 1997, and rebuilt by AMF in 1997 as GEC-Alsthom GCFX 6057.  It was sold as QGRy 6057 and was renumbered 3334 in June 2012.

5198, Class GF-30k, was built in 1971, #A2515, FN C338-23.  It was retired on September 4, 1997, and rebuilt by AMF in 1997 as GEC-Alsthom GCFX 6038.  It was leased as WCLtd 6908 in 2004 and sold as QGRy 6908.

5199, Class GF-30k, was built in 1971, #A2516, FN C338-24.  It was retired on November 25, 1997, and rebuilt by GEC-Alstom as GCFX 6065, SD40-3.  It was rebuilt and leased as WCLtd 6935 in March 2004.  It was sold as MGLX 6935 in July 2001.

5200, Class GF-30k, was built in 1971, #A2517, FN C338-25.  It was retired on May 29, 1997, and rebuilt by AMF in 1997 as GEC-Alsthom GCFX 6030.  It was renumbered 6900 on January 2, 2004, and leased as WCLtd 6900.  It was sold as Western Labrador Rail Services 6900 and transferred as GGRy 3325 in February 2011.

5202, Class GF-30k, was built in 1971, #A2519, FN C338-27.  It was retired on August 6, 1997, and rebuilt by AMF in 1997 as GEC-Alsthom GCFX 6034.  It was leased as WCLtd 6904 in 2004 and sold as QGRy 6904.

5203, Class GF-30k, in August 1971, #A2520, FN C338-28.  It was retired on November 4, 1998, rebuilt by AMF in December 1999 as KCS 6638.  It was returned to CN as GTW 5955 in 2002.

5205, Class GF-30k, was built in 1971, #A2522, FN C338-30. It was rebuilt by AMF in 1999 as KCS 6639. It was returned to CN as Grand Trunk Western 5956 in 2002.

5210, Class GF-30k, was built in October 1971, #A2527, FN C338-35. It was retired on May 31, 2000, and sold to Larry's Truck Equipment Co.

5213, Class GF-30k, was built in September 1971, #A2530, FN C338-38.  It was leased to New Brunswick East Coast Ry in 1998 and retired on January 22, 1999.  It was rebuilt at Alstom as Burlington Northern Santa Fe 7301, Class SD40-2, in September 1999 and renumbered 6962 on May 10, 2007.

5214, Class GF-30k, was built in October 1971, #A2531, FN C338-39.  It was retired on May 27, 1998, and rebuilt by Alsthom in November 1998 as KCS 6601, SD40-3.  It was was wrecked at Crawford, MS, on December 28, 1998 and later renumbered 3143.  It was sold as MGLX 3143 in July 2011.

5215, Class GF-30k, was built in October 1971, #A2532, FN C338-40.

5219, Class GF-30k, was built in October 1971, #A2536, FN C338-44.  It was retired on September 24, 1997, and rebuilt by AMF, SD40-3, as GEC-Alsthom 6047 in 1997.  It was sold as WCLtd 6917.

5221, Class GF-30k, was built in October 1971, #A2538, FN C338-46.  It was retired on August 6, 1998, and rebuilt by Alsthom in December 1998 as KCS 6618.  It was sold as Buffalo & Pittsburgh 3341.

5225, Class GF-30k, was built in November 1971, #A2542, FN C338-50.  It was retired on August 26, 1998, and rebuilt by Alsthom in December 1998 as KCS 6617.  It was renumbered 3146 in 2008.

5227, Class GF-30m, was built in November 1971, #A2589, FN C345-2.  It was retired on January 8, 1999, and was rebuilt by Alsthom as Burlington Northern Santa Fe 7337, Class SD40-2, in October 1999.  It was renumbered 6997.

5238, Class GF-30m, was built in December 1971, #A2601, FN C345-14.  It was retired on November 11, 1997, and was rebuilt by Alsthom as GCFX 6056 in 1997.  It was sold as WCLtd 6926 in 2005 and sold as Aberdeen Carolina & Western 6926 in 2009.
