Electro-Motive SD40-3 Diesels

2651 was built in March 1967, #32637, as Chicago & North Western 914, SD45. It was retired on September 25, 1987, and sold to VMV Enterprises in October 1989. . It was later sold to Morrison-Knudsen as 914 and then rebuilt by MK on May 13, 1994 as Southern Pacific 8575. It was assigned UP 4601 in September 1997 and became UP 2651 on January 17, 2002.

(4613) was built in January 1969, #34584, as C&NW 951, SD45. It was retired on September 25, 1987, and sold to VMV in October 1989. It was later sold to MK as 951 and then rebuilt by MK as SP 8582. It was assigned UP 4618 but was retired.

(2673) was built in October 1968, #34170, as Seaboard Coast Line 2017, SD45. It became Seaboard System 2017 and then renumbered 8917. It later became CSX Transportation 8917, Class SD-45, and later was rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen in 1994 as SP 8597. It was assigned UP 2673 in September 1997 but retired before it was numbered.

(4638) was built in January 1969, #34551, as Chicago Burlington & Quincy 516, SD45. In 1970 it became Burlington Northern 6457, Class SD-45, and was returned to the leasor in February 1984. It was sold to Chicago & North Western and became 6576 on August 12, 1984. It was sold to National Ry Equipment in June 1994 as 6576 and then was rebuilt as SP 8612. It was assigned UP 4638 but was retired.

(4657) was built in March 1966, #31428, as UP 3014, SD40. It was sold to Helm Leasing on March 17, 1993, and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as SP 8631 on May 13, 1994. It was assigned UP 4657 but retired.

2718 was built in March 1971, #38363, as Kansas City Southern 636, SD40. It was sold to MK 636 in 1991 abd was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as SP 8642 on July 13, 1994. It was assigned UP 4668 in September 1997 and became UP 2718 on July 27, 2001.

(4694) was built in June 1969, #34558, as CB&Q 522, SD45. In 1970 it became BN 6463, Class SD-45, and was returned to the leasor in February 1984. It was sold to C&NW and became 6582 on September 17, 1984. It was sold to NRE in June 1994 as 6582 and then was rebuilt as SP 8668. It was assigned UP 4694 but was retired.

(4707) was built in August 1967, #32717, as Norfolk & Western 1753, SD45. It was purchased as Springfield Terminal RR as 679 in October 1987. It later was purchased and rebuilt MK in 1994 as SP 8681. It was assigned UP 4707 but was retired.

(2767) was built in July 1970, #36658, as Erie Lackawanna 3654, Class MFE-36D-6A, SDP45. It became Consolidated Locomotive Co 6685, Class SDP-45, in April 1976 and later was sold to VMV Enterprises as 6685. It was then sold and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as SP 8691 on December 28, 1994. It was assigned UP 4717 on September 1997 and later 2767 in December 1999 but it was retired.

2808 was built in April 1968, 33422, as UP 3613, SD45. It was renumbered 13 on October 1978 and rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen as 63 on October 29, 1987. It was retired on December 21, 1983, and sold for Precision National Corp on October 29, 1987. It was then sold to National Railway Equipment on November 1997. It was rebuilt as UP 4758 on March 18, 1999, a SD40-3. It was renumbered 2808 on December 13, 2001, and returned as CIT Financial 2808 on April 2003.
