Toledo Edison Co.
For many years there was an almost unkown traction operation at the power plant of Toledo Edison in Toledo, OH. Here are photos of their locomotives.
1 was built by General Electric in November 1923, #9342.
2 was built by TECo in 1935.
3 was built by Baldwin-Westinghouse in July 1915, #42220, at Toledo & Western Ry 403. It February 1934 it became Toledo & Indiana RR 80. Then in 1939 it became TECo 3.
4 was built by Baldwin-Westinghouse in August 1920, #53555, as Northwestern Elevated RR S-104. In 1923 it became Chicago Rapid Transit S-104, and then Chicago Transit Authority S-104 in 1948. In 1982 it was sold to TECo as 4. It is now at East Troy, WI, for use on the East Troy Electric RR.
CTA S-105 was built by Baldwin-Westinghouse in August 1920, #53556, as NWERR S-104. It became CRT S-104 in 1923, and CTA S-105 in 1948. In 1982 it was sold to TECo for parts. It is now in Indiana for restoration.
