Electro-Motive GP9 Diesels

(0213), Class GP-9, was built in June 1957, #23372, FN 5542-5, as Chesapeake & Ohio  6213, Class MRSE-17.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and was transferred as Baltimore & Ohio 6213, Class GP-9, on September 8, 1978.  It was assigned as CSX 0213 but retired on August 20, 1987.  It was sold as Seminole Gulf RR 572 in October 1987 and retired by July 2000.

(0276), Class GP-9, was built in August 1955, #20852, FN 5413-6, as C&O 5943, Class MRSE-17. It was reclassified as Class GP-9 in 1964 and was transferred on August 1, 1969, to B&O 5943, Class GP-9. It was assigned CSX 0276 and retired on October 24, 1986. It was sold to Colleton County Ry as 5943 on October 25, 1986, and was taken into Hampton & Branchville as 5943 on January 24, 1988.

(0331), Class GP-9, was built in March 1956, #21492, FN 5448-6, as C&O 6014, Class MRSE-17.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and transferred as B&O 6014, Class GP-9, on May 12, 1978.  It was assigned as CSX 0331, Class GP-9, but retired in i987.  It was sold as SGLR 575 in 1987.

(0352), Class GP-9, was built in April 1956, #21532, FN 5448-34, as C&O 6042, Class MRSE-17.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and assigned as CSX 0352, Class GP-9.  It was retired in 1987 and sold as SGLR 573.

(0433), Class GP-9, was built in May 1955, #20437, FN 5393-8, as B&O 683, Class RSE-8c.  It was renumbered 6433 in 1957, Class FSE-2, and became Class GP-9 in 1964.  It was assigned CSX 0433 but retired in August 1986.  It was sold to Midwest Steel and Alloy in March 1987.

(0434), Class GP-9, was built in May 1955, #20438, FN 5393-9, as B&O 684, Class RSE-8c. It It was renumbered 6434 in 1957, Class FSE-2, and became Class GP-9 in 1964 It was assigned CSX 0434 but retired in August 1986 and sold for scrap Midwest Steel and Alloy in March 1987.

(0437), Class GP-9, was built in May 1955, #20441, FN 5393-13, as B&O 687, Class RSE-8c.  It was renumbered 6437, Class FSE-2, in 1957 and reclassified as Class GP-9 in 1964.  It was assigned as CSX 0437, Class GP-9, but retired on March 13, 1987.  It was sold as Indiana Rail Road 300 in 1987 and wrecked at Newton, IL, in April 1991.  It was scrapped in 1992.

(0457), Class GP-9, was built in August 1956, #22201, FN 5477-11, as B&O 6457, Class FSE-2.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and assigned CSX 0457, Class GP-9.  It was retired on January 29, 1987, and sold as Buffalo & Pittsburgh RR 201 in November 1988.  It was transferred as  Huron Central Ry 201 in July 1997.

(0459), Class GP-9, was built in August 1956, #22202, FN 5477-12, as B&O 6459, Class FSE-2.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and assigned CSX 0459, Class GP-9.  It was retired on January 9, 1987, and sold to Steel Processing Corp on November 3, 1988.  It was sold to National Railway Equipment and sold as B&P 204 in November 1988.  It was transferred as HC 204 in October 1997.

(0472), Class GP-9. was built in August 1956, #22216, FN 5477-26, as C&O 6472, Class FSE-2. It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and was assigned CSX 0472. It was retired in August 1986 and sold to Midwest Steel and Alloy in March 1987,

(0479), Class GP-9, was built in September 1956, #22223, FN 5477-33, as B&O 6479, Class FSE-2.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and was assigned CSX 0479.  It was retired in 1986 and sold to Midwest Steel and Alloy on August 28, 1986.

(0491), Class GP-9, was built in October 1956, #22235, FN 5477-45, as B&O 6491, Class FSE-2.  It was wrecked at Bridgeville, OH, on July 29, 1961, and rebuilt by Electro-Motive in December 1961.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and was assigned CSX 0491, Class GP-9.  It was retired on August 25, 1987, and rebuilt by Precision National Corp as CSX 1020, Class SWMT (slug), on October 3, 1988.  It was renumbered 1066 in 1998.

(0496), Class GP-9, was built in September 1956, #22240, FN 5477-50, as B&O Class FSE-2.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and was assigned CSX 0496, Class GP-9.  It was retired in August 1986 and sold for scrap to Midwest Steel & Alloy in March 1987.

(0499), Class GP-9, was built in September 1956, #22243, FN 5477-53, as B&O 6499, Class FSE-2.  It became Class GP-9, in 1964 and was assigned CSX 0499, Class GP-9.  It was retired on January 9, 1987, and sold as Youngstown & Austintown RR 6499 on January 11, 1987. It was transferred as Ohio Central RR 6499 in April 1988 and renumbered 66 in September 1998.  It was sold as West Chester RR 6499 in 1996.

(0501), Class GP-9, was built in October 1956, #22245, FN 5489-1, as B&O 6501, Class FSE-2. It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and was assigned CSX 0501, Class GP-9.  It was retired on July 8, 1987, and sold as R J Corman RR 9003 on July 13, 1987,

(0504), Class GP-9, was built in October 1956, #22248, FN 5489-4, as B&O 6504, Class FSE-2.  It became Class GP-9 in 1965 and was assigned CSX 0504, Class GP-9.  It was retired in August 1986 and sold for scrap to Midwest Steel & Alloy in March 1987.

(0506), Class GP-9 was built in October 1956, #22250, FN 5489-6, as B&O 6506, Class FSE-2. It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and was assigned CSX 0506, Class GP-9. It was sold to West Virginia Railroad Maintenance Authority on July 40, 1986 and assigned as South Branch Valley 6506. It was retired in 1997.

(0513), Class GP-9, was built in May 1957, #22987, FN 5519-3, as B&O 6513,Class FSE-2.  It was reclassified Class GP-9 in 1964 and assigned CSX 0513, Class GP-9, but retired on January 9, 1987.  It was sold to South Carolina Public Railways in February 1987 and assigned as Port Royal RR 6513.  It reassigned to Port Utilities of Charleston and lettered as Port Terminal RR 6513 "Carrol A Campbell Jr".  It was reassigned as East Cooper & Berkeley RR 6513 and resold as Greenville & Western RR 3751 in 2007.

(0523), Class GP-9, was built in May 1957, #22997, FN 5519-13, as B&O 6523. Class FSE-2.  It was reclassified Class GP-9 in 1964 and reclassified CSX 0523 but sold as F&M Coal Co 6523 on July 31, 1986.  It was closed in 1990 and sold to George R Silcott Co.  It was resold as R J Corman RR 9010.

(0544), Class GP-9, was built in July 1957, #23018, FN 5519-34, as B&O 6544, Class FSE-2.  It was reclassified as Class GP-9, in 1964 and assigned as CSX 0544 but retired on January 9, 1987.  It was sold to Steel Processing Corp in June 1987 and resold to Emons Development in December 1988.  It was assigned as Yorkrail 1750 and reassigned as St Lawrence & Atlantic 1750 in April 1998.  It was renumbered 50 in 2000 and sold as Railpower Technologies 50 in 2006.

(0554), Class GP-9, was built in July 1957, #23028, FN 5519-44, as Class FSE-2.  It was reclassified as Class GP-9 in 1964 and assigned as CSX 0554, Class GP-9 but retired on January 29, 1987.  It was sold to South Carolina Public Railways in February 1987 and assigned as PRRR 6554.  It was reassigned as ECBR and returned as PRRR 6554.  It was resold as GRLW 3752 in 2009.

(0566), Class GP-9, was built in July 1957, #23040, FN 5543-4, as B&O 6566, Class FSE-2. It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and was assigned CSX 0566. It was retired in August 1986 and sold to Midwest Steel and Alloy in March 1987.

(0583), Class GP-9, was built February 1958, #24367, FN 5568-12, as B&O 6583, Class FSE-2.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and was assigned CSX 0583.  It was retired on January 9, 1987, and sold as Tennessee Southern RR 6583.  It was shipped off on May 10, 1988, and later sold to Indiana Box Car Co.  It was assigned to Vermilion Valley RR as VVRM 5620 in 2006.

(0586), Class GP-9, was built in February 1958, #24370, FN 5568-15, as B&O  6586,  Class FSE-2.  It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and was assigned CSX 0586.  It was retired on July 8, 1987, and sold as R J Corman 9004 in July 13, 1987.  It was scrapped at Guthrie, KY, in October 2008.

(0590), Class GP-9, was built in February 1985, #24374, FN 5568-19, as B&O 6590, Class FSE-2. It became Class GP-9 in 1964 and was assigned CSX 0590. It was retired on January 9, 1987, and was sold as Georgia Eastern RR as 6590 on January 19, 1987. It became Georgia WoodlandsRR on June 7, 1988, and later sold to Chicago Rail Link In February 1993 as 59.

(0594), Class GP-9, was built in February 1958, #24378, FN 5568-23. as B&O 6594, Class FSE-2.  It became Class GP-9 in 1965 and was assigned CSX Transportation 0594.  Instead it was retired in August 1986 and sold to Milwest Steel & Alloy in April 1987.  It was sold as Ohio Central RR 6594 in March 1988 and renumbered 94.  It was sold to Cando Contracting as  CCDX 94 in 1996 and renumbered 1001 by January 1998.  It became CCGX 1001 and leased to Barre Collingwood Ry.

(0614), Class GP-9, was built in October 1956, #22420, as B&O 3421, Class PSE-2.  It was rebuilt as Class FSE-4 in June 1958 and renumbered 6614, Class GP9, in 1965.  It was assigned CSX 0614 but retired in 1987.  It was sold as Seminole Gulf RR 576 in October 1987 and sold as Rail Switching Service 576 in 2011.

(0617), Class GP-9, was built in October 1956, #22423, as B&O 3424, Class PSE-2.  It was rebuilt as Class FSE-4 in June 1958 and renumbered 6617, Class GP9, in 1965.  It was assigned CSX 0617 but retired on September 18, 1987.  It was sold as SGLR 577 on October 19, 1987, and sold as RSSX 577 in 2011.

(0677), Class GP-9, was built in September 1956, #22036, FN 5467-20, as C&O 6128, Class MRSE-17.  It was reclassified Class GP-9 in 1964 and transferred as B&O 6677, Class GP-9, on July 24, 1968.  It was assigned CSX 0677, Class GP-9, but retired on March 18, 1988.  It was sold to Steel Processing Corp in June 1988 and sold to National Railway Equipment as BPRR 207 in December 1988.  It was sold as Finger Lakes Ry 207 in August 1998 and renumbered 1751 in August 1999.
