Electro-Motive SW9 Diesels

8934, Class SW9, was built in May 1951, #14046, as Lehigh Valley 283, Class DS-7. It reclassified as Class ESM-12 and became Conrail 8934, Class SW9, in April 1976. It was sold to Mississippi River Grain Co as 8934 in September 9, 1991.

9010, Class SW9, was built in March 1951, #13829, ex Erie RR 434, Class SE-12. It became Erie Lackawanna 434, Class SE-12, in 1960 and Conrail 9010, Class SW9, in April 1976..

9010, Class SW9, was built in April 1952, #15933, ex Erie RR 435, Class SE-12. It became EL 435, Class SE-12, in 1960 and Conrail 9011, Class SW9, in April 1976. It was scrapped at Hollidaysburg, PA.

9013, Class SW9, was built in April 1952, #15935, ex Erie RR 437, Class SE-12. It became EL 437, Class SE-12, in 1960 and Conrail 9013, Class SW9 , in April 1976.

9014, Class SW9, was built in April 1952, #15936, as Erie RR 438, Class SE-12. It became EL 438, Class SE-12, in 1960 and Conrail 9014, Class SW9, in April 1976. In December 1976 it became New Jersey Transit 438. After retirement it was acquired by the United Ry Historical Society.

9015, Class SW9, was built in April 1952, #16173, as Erie RR 439, Class SE-12. It became EL 439, Class SE-12, in 1960 and Conrail 9015, Class SW9, in April 1976.

9016, Class SW9, was built in January 1952, #16174, as Erie RR 440, Class SE-12. It became EL 440, Class SE-12, in 1960, but was not relettered for several years. In April 1976, it became Conrail 9016, Class SW-9.

9025, Class SW9, was built in July 1952, #15734, as Delaware Lackawanna & Western 557. It became EL 452, Class SE-12, 1960, and became Conrail 9025, Class SW-9, in April 1976. It was sold to Electro-Motive.
