Electro-Motive SW9 Diesels

146, Class SW-9, was built by General Motors in December 1950, #A114, as Great Northern 14, Class SW-7. It became BN 146, Class SW-9, in 1970 and was retired in October 1985. It was sold to General Metals for scrap in September 1986.

 

147, Class SW-9 was built by General Motors in December 1950, #A115, as GN 15, Class SW-7. It became BN 147, Class SW-9, in 1970 and was retired in October 1985. It was sold to Northern Rail Services in November 1985 and then to Lewis & Clark Ry as 120 in July 1987. It was later sold to Atlantic Richfield Oil Co at Long Beach, CA, as 120 in April 1990.

148, Class SW-9, was built by General Motors in December 1950, #A116, as GN 16, Class SW-7. It became BN 148, Class SW-9, in 1970 and was retired in October 1985. It was sold to Northern Rail Services in November 1985 and then to Lake Whatom RR in June 1986. It was later sold to British Columbia Forest Products.

154, Class SW-9, was built in May 1951, #13302, as GN 22, Class SW-7. It became BN 154, Class SW-9, in 1970 and was traded in to Electro-Motive in July 1985.

157, Class SW-9, was built in February 1952, #15685, FN 4153-2, as Northern Pacific 116.  It became BN 157, Class SW-9, in 1970 and retired in October 1985.  It was sold as Texas-Sapulpa Union RR 104 in March 1986.

160, Class SW-9, was built in August 1951, #13212, as Chicago Burlington & Quincy 9269. It became BN 160, Class SW-9, in 1970, and sold  to OmniTrax.  It was sold as Salt Lake Garfield & Western  D.S.7 in November 1985 and sold to J R Simplot Co on July 19, 1988.

260, Class SW-9, was built in January 1952, #15594, as St Louis-San Francisco 305.  It became BN 260, Class SW-9, in December 1980 and retired in June 1985.  It was sold to Southwest Railway Car Parts for scrap in October 1985.

261, Class SW-9, was built in January 1952, #15595, as SL-SF 306.  It became BN 261, Class SW-9, in December 1980 and retired in June 1986.  It was sold as Mississippian Ry 261 in November 1986.

262, Class SW-9, was built in January 1952, #15596, as SL-SF 307.  It became BN 262, Class SW-9, in December 1980 and retired in August 1986.  It was sold to General Metals Co for scrap in December 1986.

263, Class SW-9, was built in January 1952, #15597, as SL-SF 308.  It became BN 263, Class SW-9, in December 1980 and retired in August 1986.  It was sold to Pielet Brothers Co in December 1986 and sold as Demeter Farm Supply Co 263.  It was sold as Union Tank Car Co 263 and renumbered 12345.

264, Class SW-9, was built in January 1952, #15598, as SL-SF 309.  It became BN 264, Class SW-9, in December 1980 and retired in August 1986.  It was sold for scrap to General Metals Co in December 1986.

265, Class SW-9, was built in January 1952, #15861, as SL-SF 310.  It became BN 265, Class SW-9, in December 1980 and retired in August 1986.  It was sold for scrap to Pielet Brothers Co in December 1986.

266, Class SW-9, was built in January 1952, #15862, as SL-SF 311.  It became BN 266, Class SW-9, in December 1980 and retired in October 1985.  It was sold for scrap to Pielet Brothers Co in March 1986.

267, Class SW-9, was built in January 1952, #15863, as SL-SF 312.  It became BN 267, Class SW-9, in December 1980 and retired in October 1985.  It was sold for scrap to Southwest Railway Car Parts in October 1985.

268, Class SW-9, was built in January 1952, #15864, as SL-SF 313.  It became BN 268, Class SW-9, in December 1980 and retired in August 1986.  It was sold for scrap to Pielet Brother Co in December 1986.

269, Class SW-9, was built in January 1952, #15865, as SL-SF 314.  It became BN 269, Class SW-9, in December 1980 and retired in August 1986.  It was sold as Montana Rail Link 16 in October 1987.
