Electro-Motive GP40-2 Diesels

 

3040, Class GP40-2, was built in May 1979, #786186-1, FN 786186-1, as St Louis-San Francisco 750.  It became BN 3040, Class GP40-2. in December 1980 and retired in September 1997.  It was rebuilt by VMV as GP40-3 as Kansas City Southern 4800 inn 1998 and renumbered 2950 in 2005.

3041, Class GP40-2, was built in May 1979, #786186-2, FN 786186-2, as SL-SF 751.  It became BN 3041, Class GP40-2, in December 1980, and was retired in September 1997.  It was sold as KCS 3041 in 1997 and rebuilt by VMV as 4801 in 1998.  It was renumbered 2951 in 2005.

3042, Class GP40-2, was built in May 1979, #786186-3, FN 786186-3, as SL-SF 752.  It became BN 3042, Class GP40-2, in December 1980 was retired in September 1997.  It was rebuilt by VMV as GP40-3 as KCS 4802 in 1998 and retired in July 2006.

3043, Class GP40-2, was built in May 1979, #786186-4, FN 786186-4, as SL-SF 753.  It became BN 3043, Class GP40-2, in December 1980 and was retired in September 1997.  It was rebuilt by VMV as GP40-3 as KCS 4803 in 1998.  It was wrecked at St Rose, LA, on October 30, 2004, and rebuilt and renumbered as 2953 in 2005.

3044, Class GP40-2, was built in May 1979, #786186-5, FN 786186-5, as SL-SF 754.  It became BN 3044, Class GP40-2, in December 1980 and was retired in September 1997.  It was rebuilt by VMV as GP40-3 as KCS 4804 in 1998 and renumbered 2954 in 2005.

3045, Class GP40-2, was built in May 1979, #786186-6, FN 786186-6, as SL-SF 755.  It became BN 3045, Class GP40-2, in December 1980, and was retired in September 1997.  It was rebuilt by VMV as GP40-3 as KCS 4805 in 1998 and renumbered 2955 in 2005.

3052, Class GP40-2, was built in May 1979, #786186-13, FN 786186-13, as SL-SF 762.  It became BN 3052, Class GP40-2, in December 1980 and was retired in September 1997.  It was rebuilt by VMV as GP40-3 as KCS 4813 in 1998 and renumbered 2962 in 2005.

3058, Class GP40-2, was built in June 1979, #786186-19, FN 786186-19, as SL-SF 768.  It became BN 3058, Class GP40-2, in December 1980, and was retired in September 1997.  It was rebuilt by VMV as GP40-3 as KCS 4818 in 1998 and renumbered 2967 in 2005.

3063, Class GP40-2, was built in June 1979, #786186-24, FN 786186-24, as SL-SF 773.  It became BN 3063, Class GP40-2, in December 1980 and was retired in September 1997.  It was rebuilt by VMV as GP40-3 as KCS 4823 in 1998 and renumbered 2972 in 2005.

3064, Class GP40-2, was built in June 1979, #786186-25, FN 786186-25, as SL-SF 774.  It became BN 3064, Class GP40-2, in December 1980 and was retired in September 1997.  It was rebuilt by VMV as GP40-3 as KCS 4824 in 1998 and renumbered 2973 in 2005.

3503, Class GP-40M, was built in February 1968, #33745, FN 7057-5, as Chicago Burlington & Quincy 624.  It became 3024, Class GP-40, in 1970 and rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen as 3503, Class GP40M, on November 16, 1988.  It became Burlington Northern Santa Fe 3002, Class GP40M, in January 2000.

3506, Class GP-40M, was built in February 1968, #33749, FN 7057-9, as CB&Q 628.  It became BN 3028, Class GP-40, in 1970 and was rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen in September 1988 as a GP40-2 as 3506, Class GP-40M.  It became BNSF 3005, Class GP40M, in April 1998.

3508, Class GP-40M, was built in February 1968, #33751, FN 7057-11, as CB&Q 630.  It became BN 3030, Class GP-40, in 1970 and was rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen in October 1988 as as GP40-2 as 3508, Class GP-40M.  It became BNSF 3007, Class GP40M, in August 1998.

3515, Class GP-40M, was built in December 1966, #32578, FN 7940-13, as CB&Q 182.  It became BN 3012, Class GP-40, in 1970 and was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen on November 13, 1989, as a GP40-2 as 3515, Class GP-40M.  It became BNSF 3014, Class GP40M, on September 25, 1998.

3517, Class GP-40M, was built in February 1968, #33743, FN 7057-3, as CB&Q 622.  It became BN 3022, Class GP-40, in 1970 and was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in November 1989 as a GP40-2 as 3517, Class GP-40M.  It became BNSF 3016, Class GP40M, in December 1999.

3518, Class GP-40M, was built in February 1968, #33744, FN 7057-4, as CB&Q 623.  It became BN 3023, Class GP-40. in 1970 and was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in November 1989 as GP40-2 as 3518, Class GP-40M.  It became BNSF 3017, Class GP40M, in November 1999.

3550, Class GP-40E, was built in December 1966, #32568, FN 7940-3, as CB&Q 172.  It became BN 3002, Class GP-40, in 1970 and was rebuilt by Electro-Motive as a GP40-2 in November 1989 as 3550, Class GP-40E.  It became BNSF 3025, Class GP40M, in July 1999.

3551, Class GP-40E, was built in December 1966, #32570, FN 7940-5, as CB&Q 174  It became BN 3004, Class GP-40, in 1970 and was rebuilt by Electro-Motive as a GP40-2 in November 1989 as 3551, Class GP-40E.  It became BNSF 3026, Class GP40M, in November 1998.

3554, Class GP-40E, was built December 1966, #32575, FN 7940-10, as CB&Q 179.  It became BN 3009, Class GP-40, in 1970 and was rebuilt by Electro-Motive as a GP40-2 in December 1989 as 3554, Class GP-40E.  It became BNSF 3029, Class GP40M, in January 2000.
