General Electric Rebuilt C36M Diesels

 

564, Class C36M, was built in May 1979, #42389, as Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe 8073, Class 8064, a C30-7.  It was retired in January 1994 and sold to General Electric as 8078.  It was renumbered as 0591 and rebuilt as C36M on June 7, 1999, as UP 564.  It was retired on March 1, 2000, and became Helm Leasing Corp HLCX 564.

572, Class C36M, was built in October 1978, #42082, as AT&SF 8060, Class 8058, a C30-7. It was retired in March 1994 and sold to General Electric Corp. It was then sold to Conrail Leasing Corp as 536 in March 1994 and later became Consolidated Railroad Corp 536, Class C30-7. It was returned to GE as 536 in January 1999 and then sold to Helm Leasing. It was rebuilt as C36M on May 14, 1999, as UP 572. It was returned to Helm Leasing Corp as 572 on March 1, 2000.

575, Class C36M, was built in October 1978, #42083, as AT&SF 8061, Class 8058, a C30-7.  It was retired in March 1984 and sold to General Electric as 8061.  It was sold as Conrail Leasing 537 in March 1994 and later became Conrail 537, Class C30-7.  It was returned to GE as 537 in January 1999 and sold to Helm.  It was rebuilt as C36M on June 22, 1999, as UP 575.  It was returned as Helm 575 on March 1, 2000.

587, Class C36M, was built in November 1977, #41626, as Conrail 6600, Class C30-7.  It was sold as HLCX 6700 in September 1995.  It was rebuilt as UP 587, Class C36M, on October 8, 1999, and returned as HLCX 587 on March 1, 2000.  It was sold as MRS Logistica 3878 in 2004.

593, Class C36M, was built in November 1977, #41630, as Conrail 6604, Class C30-7.  It was sold as HLCX 6704 in September 1995.  It was rebuilt as UP 593, Class C36M, on February 10, 2000, and returned as HLCX 593 on March 1, 2000.  It was sold as MRSL 3806 in 2004.

595 was built in June 1978, #41711, as AT&SF 8044, Class 8010, a C30-7. It was retired and sold to General Electric Corp as 8044. It was renumbered as 586. It was rebuilt in September 1999 as C36M and leased to UP as 595 on October 1, 1999. It was returned as Helm 595 on March 1, 2000.
