Electro-Motive GP30 Diesels
4109, Class GP-30, was built in October 1962, #27623, as Baltimore & Ohio 6906, Class FSE-5 It was reclassified Class GP-30 in 1964, It was renumbered 4109 and then became CSX 4109, Class GP-30. It was retired August 23, 1989. It was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen on October 29, 1990, as 2289, as slug S5-1BDE.
4115, Class GP-30, was built in October 1962, #27630, as B&O 6913, Class FSE-5. It was reclassified Class GP-30 in 1964. It was renumbered 4115 and then CSX 4115, Class GP-30. It was retired on February 14, 1989, and rebuilt by Precision National as 2246 on June 21, 1989,
4119, Class GP-30, was built in November 1962, #27643, as B&O 6926, Class FSE-5. It was reclassified Class GP-30 in 1964. It was renumbered 4119 and then became CSX 4119, Class GP-30. It was rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen on September 1990 as 2280, a slug.
4200, Class GP-30M, was built in December 1962, #27582, as Chesapeake & Ohio 3000, Class MRSE-30. It was reclassified as Class GP-30 in 1964 and rebuilt later as Class GP-30M. It was renumbered 4200 and then became CSX 4200, Class GP-30M. It was sold to Alabama RR as 2179 and later Alabama & Gulf Coast RR 2179.
4209, Class GP-30M, was built in January 1963, #27596, as C&O 3014, Class MRSE-30. It was reclassified as Class GP-30 in 1964 and rebuilt later as Class GP-30M. It was renumbered 4209 and then became CSX 4209, Class GP-30M.
4211, Class GP-30M, was built in August 1963, #28410, as C&O 3016, Class MRSE-30. It was reclassified as Class GP-30 in 1964 and rebuilt later as Class GP-30M. It was renumbered 4211 and then became CSX 4211, Class GP-30M.
4215, Class GP-30M, was built in August 1963, #28496, as C&O 3020, Class MRSE-30. It was reclassified as Class GP-30 in 1964 and rebuilt later as Class GP-30M. It was renumbered 4215 and then became CSX 4215, Class GP-30M. It was later sold to Ogeechee RR as 4215.
4217, Class GP-30M, was built in September 1963, #28499, as C&O 3023, Class MRSE-30. It was reclassified as Class GP-30 in 1964 and rebuilt later as Class GP-30M. It was renumbered 4217 and then became CSX 4217, Class GP-30M. It was sold to Ohio Central as 4217 and later resold to Arizona & California as 3002 in 1998.
4218, Class GP-30M, was built in September 1963, #28500, as C&O 3024, Class MRSE-30. It was reclassified as Class GP-30 in 1964 and rebuilt later as Class GP-30M. It was renumbered 4218 and then became CSX 4218, Class GP-30M. It was sold to OHCR as 4218.
4220, Class GP-30M, was built in September 1963, #28502, as C&O 3026, Class MRSE-30. It was reclassified as Class GP-30 in 1964 and rebuilt later as Class GP-30M. It was renumbered 4220 and then became CSX 4220, Class GP-30M. It was sold to OHCR as 4220 and later sold to ACZR as 3003 in 1998.
4221, Class GP-30M, was built in September 1963, #28503, as C&O 3027. It was reclassified as Class GP-30 in 1964 and rebuilt later as Class GP-30M. It was renumbered 4221 and then became CSX 4221, Class GP-30M. It was sold to Transdynamic Leasing Co as 4221 and then to OHCR as 4221.
4222, Class GP-30M, was built in September 1963, #28504, as C&O 3028, Class MRSE-30. It was reclassified as Class GP-30 in 1964 and rebuilt later as Class GP-30M. It was renumbered 4222 and then became CSX 4222, Class GP-30M.
4223, Class GP-30M, was built in September 1963, #28505, as C&O 3029, Class MRSE-30. It was reclassified as Class GP-30 in 1964 and rebuilt later as Class GP-30M. It was renumbered 4223 and then became CSX 4223, Class GP-30M. It was sold to Alabama RR as 2180 and later Alabama & Gulf Coast 2180.
4224, Class GP-30M, was built in September 1963, #28509, as C&O 3033, Class MRSE-30. It was reclassified as Class GP-30 in 1964 and rebuilt later as Class GP-30M. It was renumbered 4224 and then became CSX 4224, Class GP-30M.
4226, Class GP-30M, was built in September 1963, #28511, as C&O 3035, Class MRSE-30. It was reclassified as Class GP-30 in 1964 and rebuilt later as Class GP-30M. It was renumbered 4226 and then became CSX 4226, Class GP-30M.
4237, Class GP-30M, was built in October 1962, #27633, as B&O 6916, Class FSE-5. It was reclassified Class GP-30 in 1964 and later rebuilt as Class GP-30M in December 1982. It was renumbered 4237 and then became CSX 4237, Class GP-30M. It was retired on January 22, 1996, and sold for scrap to Pielet Brothers on April 4, 1996.
4239, Class GP-30M, was built in October 1962, #27635, as B&O 6918, Class FSE-5. It was reclassified Class GP-30 in 1964 and later rebuilt as Class GP-30M in October 1982. It was renumbered 4239 and then became CSX 4239, Class GP-40M. It was retired on August 29, 1995, and sold to Ohio Central RR on December 7, 1995, It became Columbus & Ohio River RR 4239 in February 1996 and then Arizona & California as 3005 in May 1996. It was transferred in September 1997 as Puget Sound & Pacific 3005.
4241, Class GP-30M, was built in October 1962, #27640, as B&O 6923, Class FSE-5. It was reclassified Class GP-30 in 1964 and later rebuilt as Class GP-30M in 1984, It was renumbered 4241 and then became CSX 4241, Class GP-30M. It was retired on March 2, 1995, and sold to Coastline Rail Services on July 3, 1995. It was then sold in 1998 as Motive Power Inc.
4243, Class GP-30M, was built in October 1962, #27642, as B&O 6925, Class FSE-5. It was reclassified Class GP-30 in 1964 and later rebuilt as Class GP-30M in July 1983. It was renumbered 4243 and then became CSX 4243, Class GP-30M. It was retired on May 5, 1995, and sold to Progress Rail Services on September 1, 1995.
4244, Class GP-30M, was built in November 1962, #27645, as B&O 6928, Class FSE-5. It was reclassified Class GP-30 in 1964 and later rebuilt at Cumberland in August 1981 as Class GP-30M. It was renumbered 4244 and then became CSX 4244, Class GP-30M. It was retired on December 30, 1994, and sold to Pielet Bros for scrap in March 22, 1995.
4246, Class GP-30M, was built in November 1962, #27648, as B&O 6931, Class FSE-5. It was reclassified Class GP-30 in 1964 and rebuilt in November 1982 as Class GP-30M. It was renumbered 4246 and then became CSX 4246, Class GP-30M. It was retired on December 18, 1996, and sold to Midwest Metallics on February 24, 1997. It later was sold to Alabama & Gulf Coast as 2183 in 1997.
4248, Class GP-30M, was built in November 1962, #27650, as B&O 6933, Class FSE-5. It was reclassified Class GP-30 in 1964 and rebuilt on April 9, 1982, as Class GP-30M. It was renumbered 4248 and then became CSX 4248, Class GP-30M. It was retired on December 26, 1995, and sold to Alabama & Gulf Coast as 2178 on March 6, 1996.
4252, Class GP-30M, was built in November 1962, #27658, as B&O 6941, Class FSE-5. It was reclassified Class GP-30 in 1964 and rebuilt in October 1981 as Class GP-30M. It was renumbered 4252 and then became CSX 4252, Class GP-30M. It was retired on March 2, 1995, and sold to Progress Rail Services on July 5, 1995.
4253, Class GP-30M, was built in Noovember 1962, #27661, as B&O 6944, Class FSE-5. It was reclassified Class GP-30 in 1964 and later rebuilt in 1983 as Class GP-30M. It was renumbered 4253 and then became CSX 4253, Class GP-30M. It was retired on February 1, 1996, and restored B&O 6944 at Baltimore in June 1996.
4255, Class GP-30M, was built in November 1962, #27667, as B&O 6950, Class FSE-5. It was reclassified Class GP-30 in 1964 and later rebuilt on July 22, 1981, as Class GP-30M. It was renumbered 4255 and then became CSX 4255, Class GP-30M. It was retired on March 2, 1995, and sold to Progress Rail Services on July 5, 1995.
4256, Class GP-30M, was built in December 1962, #27668, as B&O 6951, Class FSE-5. It was reclassified Class GP-30 in 1964 and later rebuilt in 1984 as Class GP-30M. It was renumbered 4256 and then became CSX 4256, Class GP-30M. It was retired on June 13, 1995 and sold to Progress Rail Services on September 1, 1995.
4258, Class GP-30M, was built in December 1962, #27670, as B&O 6953, Class FSE-5. It was reclassifed Class GP-30 in 1964 and later rebuilt in 1983 as Class GP-30M. It was renumbered 4258 and then became CSX 4258, Class GP-30M. It was retired on November 30, 1995, and sold to Pielet Bros for scrap on March 1, 1996.

It was renumbered 4759 and then became CSX 4259, Class GP-30M. It was retired November 30, 1995, and sold to Pielet Bros on March 1, 1996. It was sold to South Kansas & Oklahoma as 4259 in 1999 and transfered to Kansas & Oklahoma RR as 4259 in May 2001.
4262, Class GP-30M, was built in December 1962, #27674, as B&O 6957, Class FSE-5. It was reclassified Class GP-30 in 1964 and later rebuilt at Cumberland in February 1983, as Class GP-30M. It was renumbered 4262 and then became CSX 4262, Class GP-30M. It was retired on October 21, 1996, and sold to Midwest Metallics on December 30, 1996. It was then sold to Alabama & Gulf Coast as 2184 in 1997.
4265, Class GP-30M, was built in January 1963, #27690, as B&O 6973, Class FSE-5. It was reclassified Class GP-30 in 1964 and later rebuilt at Cumberland in September 1982 as Class GP-30M. It was renumbered 4265 and then became CSX 4265, Class GP-30M. It was retired on December 30, 1994, and sold to Transdynamics Inc on April 5, 1995. It was refurbished by F&L Locomotive and Car and sold to Branson Scenic RR as 4265 in January 1995 and later renumbered 99.
