Don's Rail Photos
1111 "Four Aces" was built by Alco in 1930. After demonstrating the use of roller bearings on locomotives, it was sold as Northern Pacific 2626, Class A-1. It was scrapped in 1958.
205, RL1000, was built by Electro-Motive in October 1965, #30748, asChicago Rock Island & Pacific 934, an SW1200. It was sold as Republic Locomotive Co and rebuilt as 129, an RL1000. It was sold as Timken Roller Bearing Co 205.
1985, S4, was built by Alco in March 1957, #81985, as Baltimore & Ohio 9100, Class SA-3. It was reclassified Class S-4 in 1964 and retired on January 1, 1977. It was leased to Buffalo Creek & Gauley and returned to B&O on August 1979. It was sold to Birmingham Rail & Locomotive on December 31, 1979, and resold as Timken 1985 on June 19, 1981. It was renumbered 8075 and sold to Silver Throttle Engine Association & Museum in 1990. It was restored as B&O 9100.
