South Side Cars

1 was built by Jackson & Sharpe in1892 as South Side Rapid Transit Co 1.  It became Chicago Elevated Railway 1 in 1913 and became CRT 1 in 1924. It was preserved by CTA in 1947.

2 thru 25 were built by Jackson & Sharpe in 1892 as SSRT 2 thru 25.  It became CERy 2 thru 25 in 1913 and CRT 2 thru 25 in 1923.

26 was built by Jackson & Sharpe in 1892 as SSRT 26.  It became CERy 26 in 1913 and CRT 26 in 1923.

27 thru 49 was built by Jackson & Sharpe in 1892 as SSRT 27 thru 49.  It became CERy 27 thru 49 in 1913 and CRT 27 thru 49 in 1923,

50 was built by Jackson & Sharpe in 1892 as SSRT 50.  It became CERy 50 in 1913 and CRT 50 in 1923.  It was rebuilt as S2 in 1939.

51 thru 80 were built by Gilbert Car in 1892 as SSRT 51 thru 80.

81 thru 91 were built by Jackson & Sharpe in 1892 as SSRT 81 thru 91.

92 was built by Jackson & Sharpe in 1892 as SSRT 92.  It became CERy 92 in 1913 and CRT 92 in 1923.

93 thru 100 were built by Jackson & Sharpe in 1893 as SSRT 93 thru 100.

101 thru 150 were built by Gilbert Car in 1892 as SSRT 101 thru 150.

151 thru 180 were built by Jackson & Sharpe in 1892 as SSRT 151 thru 179.

181 thru 210 were built by Jewett in 1900 as SSRT 181 thru 210.

185 was built by Jewett in 1900 as SSRT 185. It became CERy 185 in 1913 and CRT 185 in 1923.  It was retired in 1927.

188 was built by Jewett in 1900 as SSRT 188.  It became CERy 188 in 1913 and CRT 188 in 1923.  It was retired in 1926.

202 was built by Jewett in 1900 as SSRT 202.   It became CERy 202 in 1913 and CRT 202 in 1923.  It was rebuilt in 1914.

211 thru 230 were built by Jewett in 1902 as SSRT 211 thruu 230.

221 was built by Jewett in 1902 as SSRT 221.  It became CERy 221 in 1913 and CRT 221 in 1923.

222 was built by Jewett in 1902 as SSRT 222.  It became CERy 222 in 1913 and CRT 222 in 1923.  It was retired in 1926.
