6701, SD60, was built in May 1984, #836054-1, as General Motors Corp EMD1. It was sold to Consolidated Railroad Corp as 6840, Class SD-60. It later became NS PRR 6701 and sold as CSX Transportation 8790, Class SD-60.
6702, SD60, was built in August 1989, #886006-1, as Conrail 6843, Class SD-60. It later became NS PRR 6702 and relettered as NS 6702.
