5426 was built in May 1984, #837065-11, as Consolidated Railroad Corp 6748, Class SD-50. It became NS PRR 5426 and later NS 5426.
PRR 5473 was built in February 1986, #857080-25, as Conrail 6829, Class SD-50. It became NS PRR 5473 and sold as National Railway Equipment Co 5473.
