Pullman Coaches 737-751

737 thru 751 were built in 1928 and followed the basic pattern of the earlier steel cars, but had major improvements, including the elimination of the upper sash windows. This allowed for larger windows and a wider letter board. Dual lavatories were also included, but this was later changed to a single lavatory since the space was wasted in such a small car. They operated mixed in with all the other steel cars in regular service.

All were modernized in 1940 with bullseye lighting, modern seating, a dropped ceiling to allow forced air heating and ventilation, lighter colors, new luggage racks, and diaphragms.

Seven were later rebuilt as Silverliners as follows: 737-6/30/50, 738-7/28/50, 739-8/31/50, 740-8/31/50, 742-10/51, 746-12/6/51, and 750-12/19/52.

745 was wrecked at Burlington Road, Kenosha, on February 23, 1930, but it was not scrapped until August 1941.
