Electro-Motive GP38 Diesels

2836 was built in May 1971, #37308, FN 7307-15, as Southern Ry 2836.  It was assigned as N&W 2836 and became Norfolk Southern 2836, Class GP38AC.  It was rebuilt as NS 5559, Class GP38-2, in February 2003 and retired on October 21, 2013.  It was sold to First Union Rail as FURX 5559.

4101 was built in May 1971, #35621, FN 7362-2.  It became NS 4101, Class GP38AC.  It was rebuilt as NS 5512, Class GP38-2, in February 2001 and retired on November 22, 2013. It was sold as FURX 5512.

4102 was built in August 1971, #35622, FN 7326-3.  It became NS 4102, Class GP38AC, and was rebuilt as 5561, Class GP38-2, in 2003.  It was retired on January 4, 2014, and sold as FURX 5561.

4104 was built in August 1971, #35624, FN 7326-5.  It became NS 4104, Class GP38AC.  It was rebuilt as NS 5504, Class GP38-2, in February 2001 and retired on December 11, 2013.  It was sold as FURX 5504.

4108 was built in August 1971, #35628, FN 7326-9.  It became NS 4108, Class GP38AC, and rebuilt as 5501, Class GP38-2.  It was retired on December 18, 2013, and sold as FURX 5501.

4109 was built in August 1971, #35629, FN 7326-10.  It became NS 4109, Class GP38AC, and was rebuilt as 5564, Class GP38-2, in 2003.  It was retired on October 15, 2013, and sold as FURX 5564.

4112 was built in August 1971, #35632, FN 7326-13.  It became NS 4112, Class GP38AC.  It was rebuilt as NS 5605, Class GP38-2, in April 2005.

4113 was built in August 1971, #35633, FN 7326-14.  It became NS 4113, Class GP38AC, and rebuilt as NS 5530, Class GP38-2, in April 2002.  It was retired on October 21, 2013, and sold as FURX 5530.

4114, was built in October 1971, #35634, FN 7326-15.  It became NS 4114, Class GP38AC, and was rebuilt as NS 5573, Class GP38-2, in 2003.  It was retired on January 4, 2014, and sold as FURX 5573.

4115 was built in October 1971, #35635, FN 7326-16.  It became NS 4115, Class GP38AC.  It was rebuilt was NS 5534, Class GP38-2. in April 2002 and retired on November 17, 2013.  It was sold as FURX 5534.

4116 was built in October 1971, #35636, FN 7326-17.  It became NS 4116, Class GP38AC.  It was rebuilt as NS 5505, Class GP38-2, in February 2001 and retired on November 17, 2013.  It was sold as FURX 5505.

4118 was built in October 1971, #35638, FN 7326-19.  It became NS 4118, Class GP38AC.  It was rebuilt as NS 5507, Class GP38-2, in February 2001 and retired on November 22, 2013.  It was sold as FURX 5507.

4119 was built in October 1971, #35638-FN 7326-20.  It became NS 4119, Class GP38AC.  It was rebuilt as NS 5506, Class GP38-2, in February 2001 and retired on October 15, 2013.  It was sold as FURX 5506.

4120 was built in October 1971, #35640, FN 7326-21.  It became NS 4120, Class GP38AC.  It was rebuilt as NS 5565, Class GP38-2, in April 2003.  It was retired on December 18, 2013, and sold as FURX 5565.

4121 was built in October 1971, #35641, FN 7326-22.  It became NS 4121, Class GP38AC, and rebuilt as 5527, Class GP38-2, in 2002.  It was retired on October 29, 2013, and sold as FURX 5527.

4122 was built in October 1971, #35642, FN 7326-23.  It became NS 4122, Class GP38AC, and was rebuilt as NS 728, Class RP-E4C, in October 2011, a cab slug.

4123 was built in October 1971, #35643, FN 7326-24. 

4125 was built in June 1971, #35645, FN 5775-1,  It became NS 4125, Class GP39AC, and rebuilt as 5511, Class GP38-2, in February 2001.  It was retired on January 5, 2014, and sold as FURX 5511.

4127 was built in June 1971, #35647, FN 5775-3.  It became NS 4127, Class GP38AC, and rebuilt as NS 5608, Class GP38-2, in December 2005.

4129 was built in June 1971, #35649, FN 5775-5.  It became NS 4129, Class GP38AC, and rebuilt as NS 5618, Class GP38-2, in December 2005.

4131 was built in June 1971, #35651, FN 5775-7.  It became NS 4131, Class GP38AC, in 1981 and rebuilt as NS 731, Class RP-E4C, in February 2012.

4132 was built in June 1971, #35652, FN 5775-8.  It became NS 4132, Class GP38AC, and was rebuilt as NS 729, Class RP-E4C, in February 2012.

4137 was built in June 1971, #35657, FN 5775-13.  It became NS 4137, Class GP38AC,and was rebuilt as 5563, Class GP38-2, in 2003.  It was retired on December 18, 2013, and returned as FURX 5563 in May 2014.

4139 was built by June 1971, #35659, FN 5775-15.  It became NS 4139, Class GP38AC, and was rebuilt as NS 5562, Class GP38-2, in 2003.  It was retired on January 4, 2014, and sold as FURX 5562.

4140 was built in September 1971, #35660, FN 5775-16,  It became NS 4140, Class GP38AC, and rebuilt as NS 5520, Class GP38-2, in October 2001.  It was rebuilt as NS 5520, Class GP38-2, in October 2001 and retired on October 15, 2013.  It was sold as FURX 5520.

4141 was built in September 1971, #35661, FN 5775-17.  It became NS 4141, Class GP38AC, and was rebuilt as NS 5535, Class GP38-2, in 2002.  It was retired on January 4, 2014, and sold as FURX 5535.

4142 was built in September 1971, #35662, FN 5775-18.  It became NS 4142, Class GP38AC, and rebuilt as NS 730, Class RP-E4C, in February 2012.

4143 was built in September 1971, #35663, FN 5775-19.  It became NS 4143, Class 4143, and rebuilt as NS 5541, Class GP38-2, in 2002.  It was retired on January 5, 2014, and sold as FURX 5541.

4145 was built in September 1971, #38188, FN 5775-21.  It became NS 4145, Class GP38AC.  It was rebuilt as NS 5575, Class GP38-2, in 2003 and retired on November 25, 2013.  It was sold as FURX 5575.

4146 was built in September 1971, #38189, FN 5775-22.  It became NS 4146, Class GP38AC, and was rebuilt as 5543, Class GP38-2, in August 2002.  It was retired on October 21, 2013, and sold as FURX 5543.

4147 was in September 1971, #36190, FN 5775-23.  It became NS 4147, Class GP38AC, and rebuilt in January 2003 as 5557, Class GP38-2.  It was retired on December 23, 2013, and sold as FURX 5557.

4149 was built in November 1971, #38192, FN 5772-26.  It became NS 4149, Class GP38AC, and was rebuilt as 5560, Class GP38-2, in February 2003.  It was retired on January 4, 2014, and sold as FURX 5560.

4151 was built in November 1971, #38194, FN 5775-27.  It became NS 4151, Class GP38AC, and was rebuilt as NS 5536, Class GP38-2, in 2002.  It was retired on January 4, 2014, and sold as FURX 5536.

4152 was built in November 1971, #38195, FN 5775-28.  It became NS 4152, Class GP38AC, and was rebuilt as 5604, Class GP38-2, in April 2005.

4153 was built in November 1971, #38196, FN 5775-29.  It become NS 4153, Class GP38AC, was rebuilt as 5544, Class GP38-2, in 2002.  It was retired on January 4, 2014, and sold as FURX 5544.

4154 was built in November 1971, #38197, FN 5775-30.

4156 was built in November 1971, #38199, FN 5775-32.  It became NS 4156, Class GP38AC. It was rebuilt as NS 5566, Class GP38-2, in April 2003, and retired on November 17, 2015.  It was sold as FURX 5566.

4159  was built in November 1971, #38202, FN 5775-35.  It became NS 4159, Class GP38AC, and rebuilt as 5510, Class GP3802, in February2001.  It was retired on December 23, 2013, and sold as FURX 5510.

If our Creator and Savior comes from heaven with such great love, it is only fitting that we should go to meet Him. And this is what we do when we spend some time in prayer.
