Cars 101 thru 180

These cars were built by Jewett Car in 1911 and were the first PAYE cars in San Francisco. 180 was rebuilt as a one man car in the 1930s with front entrance air doors. It was used on several one man lines until it was outlawed in 1939. The only car which did not make it to the Muni in 1944 was 123. 35 cars were renumbered into corresponding 400 numbers to prevent confusion with the Muni's own 100 series cars.
