AA Series Salt Cars

 

2, salt car, was Chicago Rys 2.  It became CSL 2 in 1914 and retired in 1916.

4, salt car, was CRy 4.  It became CSL 4 in 1914 and retired in 1917.

12, salt car, was CRy 12.  It became CSL 12 in 1914 and retired in 1917.

22, salt car, was CRy 22.  It became CSL 22 in 1914 and retired in 1916.

25, salt car, was CRy 25.  It became CSL 25 in 1914 and retired in 1917.

26, salt car, was CRy 26.  It became CSL 26 in 1914 and retired in 1916.

1122 was built by St Louis Car Co in 1903 as Chicago Union Traction 4651.  It was renumbered 1122 in 1913 and became CSL 1122 in 1914.  It was rebuilt as a salt car in December 1930 and scrapped on April 23, 1937.

1188 was built by St Louis Car Co in 1903 as CUT 4717.  It was renumbered 1188 in 1913 and became CSL 1188 in 1914.  It was rebuilt as a salt car in November 1930 and scrapped on April 30, 1937.

1201 was built by St Louis Car Co in 1903 as CUT 4730.  It was renumbered 1201 in 1913 and became CSL 1201 in 1914.  It was rebuilt as a salt car in November 1931 and restored to passenger service on March 6, 1943.

1208 was built by St Louis Car Co in 1903 as CUT 4737.  It was renumbered 1208 in 1913 and became CSL 1208 in 1914.  It was rebuilt as a salt car in November 1931 and returned to passenger service on March 4, 1943. It was rebuilt as W55, work trailer, and retired on October 4, 1946.

1211 was built by St Louis Car Co in 1903 as CUT 4740.  It was renumbered 1911 in 1913 and became CSL 1211 in 1914.  It was rebuilt as a salt car in November 1931 and wrecked on January 30, 1939, at 111th and Sacramento when hit by a Grand Trunk Western train.  It was scrapped on March 8, 1939.

1212 was built by St Louis Car Co in 1903 as CUT 4741.  It was renumbered 1212 in 1913 and became CSL 1212 in 1914,  It was rerbuilt as a salt car in November 1931 and returned to passenger service on February 20, 1943.

1223 was built by St Louis Car Co in 1903 as CUT 4642.  It was renumbered 1223 in 1913 and became CSL 1223 in 1914.  It was rebuilt as salt car in November 1931 and returned to passenger service on April 11, 1943.

1225 was built by St Louis Car Co in 1903 as CUT 4754.  It was renumbered 1225 in 1913 and became CSL 1225 in 1914.  It was rebuilt as salt car in November 1931 and returned to passenger service on March 4, 1943.

1226 was built by St Louis Car Co in 1903 as CUT 4755.  It was renumbered 1226 in 1913 and became CSL 1226 in 1914.  It was rebuilt as salt car in November 1931 and renumbered 1357 in 1937.  It was returned to passenger service on May 14, 1943.

(AA99) was built by South Chicago City Ry in 1907 as SCCRy 333.  It was rebuilt in 1907 and became C&SCRy 832 in 1908.  It was renumbered 2847 in 1913 and became CSL 2847 in 1914.  It was converted as a salt car in 1943 and planned as AA99 but was scrapped on August 20, 1948.

AA99, salt car, was built by Brill Car Co in 1905, #14318, as Chicago City Ry 5031.  It was rebuilt in 1908 and became CSL 5031 in 1914.  It was rebuilt as salt car AA99 in 1948 and retired on June 6, 1956.
