In October 1975, the GCRTA took over the properties of the CTS and the Shaker Heights Rapid Transit.  CTS had opened the Red Line in 1955,

102 was built by St Louis Car Co in 1955, #1775.  It was retired.

103 was built by St Louis Car Co in 1955, #1775.  It was retired.

104 was built by St Louis Car Co in 1955, #1775.  It was retired.

106 was built by St Louis Car Co in 1955, #1775.  It was retired.

108 was built by St Louis Car Co in 1955, #1775.  It was retired.

109 was built by St Louis Car Co in 1955, #1775.  It has been preserved by RTA.

113 was built by St Louis Car Co in 1959, #1795.  It was acquired by Trolleyville Museum in 2003 and sold to Seashore Trolley Museum in 2009.

151 thru 180 included the "Airporters" built in 1968. These cars had racks for baggage for airline passengers since it was expected that a large number would be attracted when the line was extended to the airport.

181 thru 200 are 1984 cars built by Tokyu Car of Japan.

201 thru 256 were also original cars built by St. Louis Car in 1954 as married pairs.

301 thru 340 were built by Tokyu in 1982.
