101 thru 140 were built by Kinki Sharyo in 1995. First 101 was damaged in an earthquake in Japan and rebuilt. Then it was damaged again in unloading at Houston. It was shipped back to Japan and rebuilt as 102. 29 cars were used by the Salt Lake City UTA Trax in October 2001 and returned to 2002.
141 thru 174 were built by Kinki Sharyo in 1998.
175 thru 195 were built by Kinki Sharyo in 1999.
196 thru 250 were built by Kinki Sharyo in 2000.
