Class F-6a 4-6-4s

In my humble opinion, these were the most attractive locomotives on the Milwaukee. The unbroken running board made them look faster than the F-6 class, and they were REAL LOCOMOTIVES, in all their nakedness when compared with the F-7 class. The front end generator for commuter service was added near the end of their careers and spoiled the appearance of a classic locomotive.

139 was built by Baldwin in November 1931, #61660, as 6419. It was renumbered 139 in June 1938 and retired August 18, 1952.

140 was built by Baldwin in November 1931, #61661, as 6420. It was renumbered 140 in June 1938 and retired June 4, 1954.

141 was built by Baldwin in November 1931, #61662, as 6421. It was renumbered 141 in June 1938 and retired October 27, 1952.

142 was built by Baldwin in October 1931, #61655, as 6414. It was renumbered 142 in June 1938 and retired December 13, 1954.

143 was built by Baldwin in October 1931, #61656, as 6415. It was renumbered 143 in June 1938 and retired December 13, 1954.

144 was built by Baldwin in October 1931, #61657, as 6416. It was renumbered 144 in June 1938 and retired December 13, 1954.

145 was built by Baldwin in October 1931, #61658, as 6417. It was renumbered 145 in June 1938 and retired December 23, 1952.

146 was built by Baldwin in November 1931, #61659, as 6418. It was renumbered 146 in June 1938 and retired December 13, 1954.
