The 700 series cars were built in three groups and were double ended Peter Witt style cars. In the 1930s they were rebuilt as end door cars with the center doors completely removed and rear exit doors added.

700 thru 729 were built by Kuhlman in 1924.

730 thru 759 were built by American Car in 1926. 746 has been cosmetically restored and is on display at the Monroe Shops.

760 thru 776 were built by St. Louis Car in 1928 under order 1478.
