Interurbans 1101-1110

These 10 cars were built by St. Louis Car in 1907 and were similar to the earlier 1001 thru 1025. They were, however, equipped to run on either the low voltage lines or the new 3300 volt single-phase AC lines beyond St. Martins and Waukesha Beach. In 1909, the high voltage lines were changed to 1200 volt DC, and the equipment on the cars reflected the change.

Beginning in 1924, with the upgrade of the interurban lines, these cars were included in the rebuilding program. When rebuilt they were renumbered to make room for the rebuilt former Milwaukee Northern cars. In 1946, the cars were sold to KMCL along with the remaining interurban lines. They survived into Milwaukee Rapid Transit & Speedrail ownership in 1949.

1102 was rebuilt in 1927 as 1137. It was scrapped in 1952.

1104 was rebuilt in 1927 as 1139. It was scrapped in 1952.

1105 was rebuilt in 1927 as 1140. It was scrapped in 1952.

1106 was rebuilt in 1927 as 1141. It was scrapped in 1952.

1107 was rebuilt in 1924 as 1131. It was retired April 29, 1941, and was scrapped in 1946 after years of storage at Oakland Car Station.
