City Cars 850 - 874
The 800s were the first lightweight cars received and were originally configured as one-man-two-man cars. They had double rear doors as well as the double front doors and were painted in the yellow livery.
850 thru 874 were built by St. Louis Car in 1920. 850 was one manned in 1925 and the rest in 1926. During World War II, 856 was equipped with field tapping for higher speed. 864 was given more flexible bolster springs with provided an extremely bouncy ride.
Retirement began in 1950, and some cars lasted until the end on March 2, 1958.
