The 800s were the first lightweight cars received and were originally configured as one-man-two-man cars. They had double rear doors as well as the double front doors and were painted in the yellow livery.

800 was built at Cold Spring in 1919 and 801 thru 824 were built by St. Louis Car in 1920. 800 was one manned in 1926, 801 thru 810 in 1924 and 1925, and 811 thru 824 in 1925. 800 was wrecked in a collision with a C&NW switch engine on 1st Street in September 1942 and was scrapped in 1944. 801 was converted to single end with double trolley poles for use on the Fond du Lac Training Track in 1953 after the track was isolated from the rest of the system.

Retirement began in 1950, and some cars lasted until the end on March 2, 1958. 812 was scrapped in January 1956.
