3500 Class 4-6-2s
These locomotives were built as balanced compounds and were the last compounds purchased by the Santa Fe. They were rebuilt as simple engines with Walschaert valve gear.
3502 was built by Baldwin in 1914, #41183. It was rebuilt at Topeka in January 1922 and scrapped at Topeka on March 1, 1940.
3516 was built by Baldwin in 1914, #41209. It was rebuilt at Albuquerque in April 1922 and sold for scrap to Midvale Iron & Supply Co on February 16, 1955.
3520 was built by Baldwin in 1914, #41230. It was rebuilt at San Bernardino in May 1922 and sold for scrap to El Paso Pipe & Supply Co on July 13, 1954.
