Aberdeen Carolina & Western
This short line operates between Charlotte and Star and beyond to Aberdeen and Gulf.
896, GP7, was built by Electro-Motive in May 1950, #11592, as Seaboard Air Line 1716. It became Seaboard Coast Line 896 in July 1967. It became Aberdeen and Briar Patch 896. In 1993 it became AC&W 896 when the A&BP was taken over. It was later renumbered 701.
1721, GP18m, was built by Electro-Motive in August 1960, #26122, as Seaboard Air Line RR 408. It became Seaboard Coast Line 1064 in July 1967 and was rebuilt at Uceta in May 1980 as SCL 4621. It later became Seaboard System RR 4621 and was renumbered 1721 and later became CSX Transportation 1721. It was sold to AC&W as 1721 in 1993 and later was renumbered 1600.
1745, GP9m, was built by Electro-Motive in September 1956, #23098, as SAL 1925. It became SCL 1024 in July 1967 and was rebuilt at Uceta in October 1982 as SCL 4645. It later became Seaboard System 4645 and was renumbered 1745 and later became CSX 1745. It was sold to AC&W as 1745 in November 1992 and later was renumbered 1601.
3802, GP38, was built by Electro-Motive in November 1967, #33364, as Baltimore & Ohio 3846, Class GP-38. It was renumbered 2046 and later became CSX 2046, Class GP-38. It was later sold to AC&W as 3802.
3803, GP38, was built by Electro-Motive in December 1967, #33728, as Chesapeake & Ohio 3897, Class GP-38. It was renumbered 2097 and later became CSX 2097, Class GP-38. It was later sold to AC&W as 3803.
